I can feel your agony brother.
I simply love the ninja300 and 650 but the ABS starts with the Versys 650 which is a bit more expensive + adventurous + Tall (i'm 5.6) for me.
I make frequent queries regarding this to the showroom guys but get nothing.

Although it is the best time to get the ER6N.

I don't think its coming any sooner. I too picked up a new one just 15 days ago, but wasn't that hellbent on ABS though, that too this is coming from a guy whose previous ride was a CBR 250R ABS. Besides, there is an offer running around if you buy the ER-6N within this month, there is a 30k discount on its price as well as a free Kawasaki Riding Jacket along with it. I am loving this beast to the core even though its still in the run-in period, very hard to keep it sedated though!!..

Guys, any update on when the ABS version of the bike is coming ? Planning to book the bike soon, but want the ABS version.

Sorry for the absence as I was away for all this while..
1. We bigger tire didn't give me trouble yet.
2. Each service costs about 5K.
3. The expenditure increases when you reach the 15K mark as you need to change tires and in few instances the brakes. Mine half life is left.
4.gave my bike 4th service at autoservice and I am impressed with the diligence shown in servicing. He cleaned my brakes while the langford never opened them for the three previous services.
5. Now the av fuel consumption is different from what my console shows me as I have told the problem in my odo before in here. I guess it's 17kmpl and guys my riding style is way different from others so I know ppl get 20kmpl too.
That's it for now..long trips on the books so will update when available..

with regards to the PR2... is it really advisable to put a tyre thats 180/55 .. other kwackers i know have advised me against upsizing saying our rims arent meant to handle 180 (our width being 4.5" I think)
whats been your experience with the new tyre? I would've thought upsizing would have made cornering more difficult .. do you find uneven wear on the tyre?

my rear has given way with the top part flattening out .. its been only 9k+ KMs that I've done, but it might be due to the speeds and load I put on the bike. (svc mechanic also pointed out that variance in cold tyre pressure adds to this, which was the case with me)
Looking to upgrade now and had my eyes set on the Roadtec Z8, but looks like its not available here.. Might settle with Metzeler M5I or Pirelli Angel GT..

Waiting for your feedback on the tyre.. Might change my mind based on your experience with it

speaking after about 1100km on the bike, feel the brakes are great! but then coming from a bullet (old one at that) it just might be me.

Is the 2015 (or 2016) model of Er6n having any changes? The N300 has got some cosmetic changes so inquiring about the Er6n.
Also, do the owners feel a lack of ABS or are the brakes good without them?

its been a long time since i posted here. been busy with new job which took me away from my ride.

so the bike has done 17000 odd kms since the beginning. i have changed the tires to PR2 180/55 as the stock costs a bomb and needed a bigger tire for playing around the corners, the stock running out at 14000 kms. Rest everything is stock.
Found out the bike resale value is very good indeed (The bike is costlier by a lakh or more now)

since my last post i decided to test the limits of my bike. Thanks to the fatter tire the bike feels solid around the corners though the softer suspension gives me the shivers when i find out the roads are not exactly smooth at the curves and the bike bounces like hell.

Checked out the roads of lavasa which i always wanted to do as i hear a lot about the roads. Drove all the way to pune for it and to meet up with friends. Had a chance meeting with Sagar of powerdrift testing the street not the triple. Oh man, the curves were perfect for cornering and i did rip through the curves throwing caution to the winds. I was in my element and it was me, the bike and roads. the ride was perfect enough to make me do the ride twice back to back. sorry guys not many pics as i was lost in the ride to stop for pics... my cousin came along on his rc200. ass you might guess his wrist was paining enough to make him skip the second time.




after coming back from lavasa i still wasnt happy and wanted more roads to ride. Then i chose kudremukh as it was a proving ground for my fz16 and wanted to check if the beast will match upto its cornering. Not a match in power but with the tight corners of kudremukh the peak power doesnt matter and with similar proportion of tires and cornering ability it was a decent proving ground.
Took the horrible decision of taking sakleshpur mudigere route which was horrible with very bad roads misguided by the scenic roads between hassanand sakleshpur. the roads improved after mudigere but had to wait till mudigere for the roads to improve decent enough for cornering.
The bike proved its mettle though i had to keep the power in leash as it can be too much and the corners are deadly. unlike other ghats the roads are 99.9% without sign boards to tell you the direction of the curve and the curve might end up with a broken road.
The return journey was brilliant as i decided to take the mudigere hassan route which has beautiful roads and you can just be in your element. anyways enough words.. time for pics..

Thanks guys for the valuable answers. Infact, by the time i took the bike to the service station the rust was cleaned by the disc bads. It was shinning once again. The Service Manager as said the same, but he took some pics of the rust on the internal disc and assured me that in case the same is abnormal he will put the issue with the higher up and probably get it replaced. "HOPE FOR FREE".

It happens if you are near to sea side but if it's good quality it won't happen. Once I rode my Hyosung 650 to a beach in Kerala with my friends riding p220 and cbr250. We stayed in a beach side house and next day morning I found rust in the disc plates although the Pulsar and CBR was doing just fine. This is expected from Hyojunk but not Ninja. Definitely ask for a replacement.
