Re: Kawasaki ER6N
Dear fellow riders,
I too got delivery of my ER-6N, supposedly the very first in Ahmedabad and second in the state of Gujarat.
Its a beauty, very comfortable and highly responsive! Am on cloud 9 right now.
Will post details in due course.
Havent been able to take her out much though due to scorching heat and have just finished 360 kms over 20 days of taking delivery.
But will catch up as the weather smothers down.
Cheers,
Rup

Re: Kawasaki ER6N
Went through the thread and had just one question. I have seen a lot of N650 owners having trouble with the standard lighting available. Is it the same case with the er6n as well?
Please do share some experience around night driving aswell

Re: Kawasaki ER6N
Try writing a mail directly to Kawasaki India. But be warned, they are almost like Bajaj employees, you know what I meant.Originally posted by hell yeah View PostDear Comrade @cheran4200,
Unfortunately, Kawasaki does not have test rides and if at all I close in on the bike, I will be the first to own it in Ahemdabad and hence no scope of discussing the same with the a user here.
Cheers,
Rup

Re: Kawasaki ER6N
Hey dude i dont think its bajaj rather Khivraj motos as i have been to calcutta probiking a lot of times...and they have been quite good...not the best but not so bad either...and hey i like the er6n and am considering to buy so if you could tell me about the braking performance as the absence of ABS seems like a potential downer to me...Originally posted by cheran4200 View Postme and satish met up again yesterday evening and found out that the list of lies keeps flowing. I got my TRS on 22nd whereas the showroom guys have informed him that i had taken my bike without papers and the bike wasnt updated until 24th. I mean what do the bajaj guys think of themselves?? How can i get a trs when the bike isnt updated with RTO?
And i got it because I wanted to get it registered in Kudremukh(Bangalore gtg). I mean a mail was sent to me promising delivery by 19th.
The kawa guys thinks we are stupid. This is heights of cheating.
@satish do add something if i have missed it.

Re: Kawasaki ER6N
Dear Comrade cheran4200,
While these wishes come really late in the day, but nonetheless CONGRATULATIONS on completing hundreds of miles with a smile (presumably
).
I have been doing rounds of KTM, Harley & Triumph for a street bike.
I did read through your post and thank you for sharing your experience with us at such length.
In a nutshell, having owned the beast for a few months now, would you suggest that one could go in for ER6N or will Street Triple be a better option. Am referring here to comfort, performance and safety.
I also read about other friends here in Mumbai & Goa who have brought this beauty and would seek their guidance and inputs as well.
Unfortunately, Kawasaki does not have test rides and if at all I close in on the bike, I will be the first to own it in Ahemdabad and hence no scope of discussing the same with the a user here.
Harley Street is a complete No-No as my best friend owns it and is looking at upgrading. Somebody suggested Bennilli. I will be test riding Street Triple this weekend, but am a rookie and hence except for comfort, wont be able to make too much out of the technical aspects. The last time I rode a bike, it was a Pulsor 180 almost a decade ago.
Also is there a KNOG Ahmedabad Chapter?
Apologies mods if I oversped here!
Cheers,
Rup

Few things actually -Originally posted by deepak82 View PostI thought you were interested in the 600i what happened??
1) I dug through a lot of Thai forums and found that there were build and spare parts availability issues. I am very excited about getting a stand, lubing and oiling my chain but having to run around and get things arranged might not be in my comforts zone. Plus I do not have that good knowledge of these bigger bikes to make custom mods.
2) @rustymechs was really kind enough to let me drive his Ninja 650 on ORR. I was comfy in hitting 130. On way back when he touched 177, I realised that it will take me some getting used to this speed itself. A 4-cylinder might not be done full justice with given that I have been riding R15 for past 6 years at 120's.
Initially I told my wife that this would be my last sort of bike but now I think that 3-4 years down the line I might end up upgrading to a more powerful bike. Till then I will hang around and learn from all you riders.

Paid the booking amount to Jubilee Hills KTM on Saturday. He said that the bike will come in around 20 days. Luckily one of my colleague is visiting US for this week and next. I was thinking on ordering the Frame sliders and may be EBC Extreme brake pads. Can you guys tell me which frame sliders have you put on and whats the exact brake pad type i should order?
