Try to keep varying RPM during break in period.
Your trip should go well if you ride as you said. That’s a good break in for your bike. Just note that it will get more hot as it’s a new bike.

Try to maintain at least 3 letters to be on safer side.

Hi everyone!!!

Am new here and this is my first post!!

I need your suggestions on run in of new RS200..Took RS200 Grey&black colour last friday.

So far covered 250kms and maintaining below 5k rpm.

Am planning to take my bike to chennai from coimbatore which is around 550kms after the first service.planning to cover the distance by riding between 60_80 and taking break every 45_60 mins.Will it harm the engine???

Also how much is the min fuel we have to maintain...??

In addition to these,
One have to take it to RTO and get color changed on RC. If not, vehicle could be seized by police. Also, resale if any takes some hit.

Hey guys , I'm facing a bit of an issue , changed the spark plugs last week and since then the RPM is fluctuating between 1-2k RPM , another friend is suggesting me that the stepper motor could be the bugger .

Yes you can and beware it will cost you a hefty amount .Front fairing cost is 1800 and side fairing will cost up to 7000.overall cost will be 10000 to 11000 or even more.try to check in service centre they will quote you exact price

I have yellow bs3 version can I change the fairing to new metallic grey? And how much will it cost me?

It's very likely that the fan rpm is the cause. Due to the hot nature of the engine it's not surprising the fan is slowly dying. Just go ahead and get it replaced. Also, do check your battery voltage to see if it is indeed within required spec. Cheers.

That time,I was Also changing Air Filter, so I took off Side Panels-Mainly Left side Panel,
& visually see the assey/Fan-If anything stuck,it's movement ,There is also Connector for Fan-Next to Fan assey.

Without opening up also u can quickly test-
1) Check when it is cold.
Start in neutral,Slide hand from "plastic grills over radiator" behind front Forks/Wheel -to just touch radiator Fins-Means pump is circulating coolant from block.
-From cold,It starts feeling warm (Just touch it till slight warm in 2-3 minutes)
2)Once Fan kicks-in reaching certain temp,Whining noise can be heard-You can feel the Air flow by keeping hand in front of plastic grills.(Don't slide it in)

Point 3 is ruled out because I get my oil replaced in front of me. Always, without exception! I think in my case, it would be either liquid-cooling or fan that is faulty.

You can go through my steps before replacement-

Once,I had faced High Temp issue-
During continuous 2-3 Hour traffic Coolant temp light turning on,Bike started stalling,Engine refuse to rev above 3-4k.
somehow i came back & started inspecting-


1) On neutral start engine & spec.
We can check if liquid-cooling/Pump is working by touching the radiator.
-If it "keep getting hot"-Pump is circulating coolant between Radiator & block.

2)Then after engine reaches certain temp,Fan kicks in for 2-3 minutes.
We can "hear the whining noise",also u can feel the Air flow by keeping hand in front of radiator.

3)Then finally I checked my oil level was fine,but color was very dark.
I came to know my oil was not changed by SVC, I changed it & problem sorted out itself.

Hello fellow members,

I completed 30,000 km on the bike and was facing overheating issues with the bike in stop and go traffic. I use Motul 5100 oil and it was replaced only a while ago. The quantity of oil + coolant is also fine. The fan was also running throughout the traffic run. When I took the bike to the SS, they told me that although the fan is running, the fan rpm is quite low. Therefore the engine cooling was not done in an optimum way. They also mentioned that there were 3 other bikes with the same problem.

As per the SS ppl, they need to replace the fan. They said the power input going into the fan is as per specifications (not sure if they actually tested that). As always, I am skeptical about their solution. I don't mind replacing the fan but I am not 100% sure if that would solve the problem.

Is there anybody else facing the same issue?

I didn’t get the rims replaced. Not for now atleast. I got them repaired and they seem to working perfectly fine. No issue in handling.
BTW, the new rims cost around 3-3.5k for the front and 3.5-4k for the rear. I got the price quote from different dealers and they all varied, hence the range.

Note:This is just Experimental. Tiny mod I did to serve my purpose. Sharing just for information.

Being Faired Bike our Battery is very difficult to access-We have to remove both seats-Main seat with spanner-To just access it.
I use only 2 devices frequently With Battery -Mobile charger & occasionally Tire Inflator .
I was looking some easy source of power to plug & Play-Then removable. without cutting single cable/opening any panel.
Since properly routing cable from Battery is the perfect solution but very difficult to reverse(removing fairing+Tank cover is headache) as In future if any electrical problem comes-SVC will directly point at my wiring.
I find the Diagnostic port perfect for my use -Located under headlight-Easy to access & as tested provides 12v direct DC power.


Hence,
made "Diagnostic port to 2 Pin male connector Cable" & put "2 pin female connectors" on my Tire Inflator & Mobile charger.


Practical Use for me-
1)Now, Anytime I can disconnect my charger while in public parking or even this cable before giving for servicing.



2)Anytime I can Inflate mine or anyone's tire easily-As earlier- to access port,Without removing seat it was not possible.



*As it turns out overall costly affair+Time consuming for little purpose it serves.
This is not recommended- since just Bajaj Diagnostic port connector is not available as i checked almost every connector seller/dealers.
I sourced it from my "Spare" diagnostic cable costing-approx 1500.+Fuse+Waterproof connectors-(I already had) approx 80 each.

If anyone know Better/Simple ways, let me know.
