Any idea how much it costs? Also, can I take the light out if that bracket and put it in mine?

I think it costs around Rs 500 of Ns200 and yes u can take out the light from the bracket but i am not sure if its screw holes would fit our gixxer.

Light doesn't come separately it comes with rear tail bracket which can be bought from any bajaj authorised spare parts vendor !!

I would like to use the license plate light found on KTM and dominar on my Gixxer. Any idea where I can get it from? I am using an LED buld right now, but I need what's present on KTM bikes since it's much brighter.

Sometimes in rainy season or after washing even my gixxer sf also makes some noise at starting.. after few minutes the noise disappears.. and if you are facing the noise even after riding it few kilometres try to release some amount of fluid from the calliper (not by using pressing the brake lever do it simply by loosing the nut of the calliper) because when we add new brake fluid there will be sometimes more fluid left in the calliper which forces the brake pad towards the disk & that's how it starts to make noises while running or while braking.. Thanks for the suggestion but after riding some 20+ kms i can see that pads have settled in properly and upon rechecking i can see the wheels are rotating freely now.
So i guess after cleaning it takes time to settle.

Just cleaned up my bike's front disc brakes as it was making squeaking noise but after cleaning and fitting and giving a short ride i can see i get only two revolution if pushed by hand whereas without disc rotor it freely rotates . So is it normal drag after cleaning disc pads ?
I think there has been extra pressure build up in hydraulic system when needs to be taken out by bleeding the brakes

does it melt the reflector ?
I think using the relay is good for your motorcycle because it'll reduce the amount of load on your battery.. and if you are using 60W

The reflector had no damage on mine, no bubbles, no melting, etc.

Battery too was fine without a relay. I used a dual horn as well. I never faced any issue with it till I sold the bike. The new owner also did not face any issues.

I did, however, replace the pilot lamp and the number plate illumination bulbs with 1W LEDs, don't know if this helped in any way.

I used a 60W halogen (without relay) in my naked Gixxer non-AHO for nearly 2 years, I never had a problem with the battery.

My bike's front disc is heating up too much but the disc pads seems to be ok to me..what could be the other reason?
Wheel feels slightly heavier too while rotating it free hand in neutral gear!!

Even i was looking for upgrading my headlight with 60/55W halogen bulb is it possible to fit that using relay?
Will it drain the battery?

I used a 60W halogen (without relay) in my naked Gixxer non-AHO for nearly 2 years, I never had a problem with the battery.

Pros :-
1) Good mileage 48 Kmpl
2) Good looks
3) The speedometer comes with gear position indicator
4) Good handling
5) The seating position is comfortable
6) Tyre's
7) Smooth engine
8) Low end mid-range
9) Light clutch
10) Flexible indicators

Cons :-
1) Seats are hard not wide
2) poor headlamp 35/35W
3) Switch gear poor quality
4) Hard gear shift
5) engine oil leaking from magnetic coil area
6) Low ground cleareance
7) Stiff suspension
8) Pillion comfort

My suggestion :- If you are looking for a proper tourer which has :-
1) good headlight 60/55W
2) Good suspension
3) Good seating comfort
4) laguage carrying capacity
5) fuel tank capacity
6) Comfortable seating position for long tours
7) Smooth engine
8) Good pillion comfort
9) Good ground clearance
10) value for money

The only bike which i'll suggest is the Royal Enfield Himalayan BS-IV with ABS.

I got it from a local shop near vandalur and fixed it with a two wheeler electrician who has a shop in chromepet. The bulb cost is 1100 and fixing charges is 60.

Hi guys. I have recently changed the headlight of my two year old sf. I opted for CYT 40W led bulb. The light is good except for high beam throw which is not that good(not long enough) . But overall there is much better improved lighting at night. I'm satisfied.
