Upgraded both brake lines to steel braided. Have run over 5000 kms after this change..
Do you know the length of the front brake line. Is it 1000mm or 1200mm. I am eyeing to buy the steel braided lines myself for my 2018 R3, but don't know the length of the brake line and hence can't order.
Are there any back rests and/or grab rails available in India for the R3.
No idea about back rests but there are grab rails available on AliExpress (Chinese maal). Fitting is a bit complicated though. I have not used it personally but have heard reviews from users. Search this thread and you will get that post.
must say a very organised forum.
I've recently purchased my yamaha r3, and i'd love to be added in pan india yamaha r3 whatsapp group, also if there is any yamaha r3 mumbai group, i'd be more than happy to get into it.
Thank you
PM me, i'll get you added there.

Looks promising but as always bracing self to not get hit by the consistent Yamaha disappointment of pricing. It mentions localization but that may knock off 20K at max because Yamaha India will never cut on its profits and premium charges.

Yes, we do have a Karnataka chapter R3 owners group. Majority of the owners are from Bengaluru. Current headcount of the group is 170+ and growing. The group is a mixture of non-ABS and ABS owners varying from all age groups, different riding styles, etc etc. Main admins are @ArnabC and @saquib3005. You can ping any of us and we'll get you added there after verifying your details.
I am looking at a getting a used R3 and i am reaching out to the R3 owners to see if they can guide me to some of the things I need to lookout for when checking a used bike.
I am looking at bikes either from 16' 17' and within the mileage range of 18k-25k kms.
Also wondering if the Recall is not done by the previous owner , will I be able to do it ?
And I believe we have a riding group at Bangalore, can I have some details on that please

Nice gesture indeed by Yami, such small things and good will gestures will make every owner happy who have invested huge sum on their beloved machines.
First of all, many congratulations on your purchase. Do the run-in properly. It sure is a beauty. Ride safe
Secondly, i don't think you should be concerned about the manufacture date as it is only 5 months ago. Unless your bike acts weird and you faced issues while doing PDI checks, you're good to go. There's a detailed thread on PDI at the very top of the ownership main page. Please go through it if incase you have missed checking on anything.
Thirdly, you can PM me with your full name and cell phone number. I will get you added to the group.
Even I need to be added, please.
