I recently had a very bad experience with Bangalore Wheels. They damaged my Oil Sump and all the oil started leaking. Apparently, they either over-tightened the drain bolt so that it developed a crack in Oil sump or it has got damaged while they were hammering the O ring spanner to separate it from the Oil Filter. Had to leave my bike at the SVC for 4 days because the part was not in stock. And the worst part is, they are not ready to accept their mistake and are instead blaming me for damaging the part by going over speedbump/pothole. I mean, seriously? My bike was perfectly fine with no oil leaks when i took it to the service center and a healthy amount of oil came out when it was drained out. Had to shell out close to 6,000 INR to get my bike out of the SVC.

My 2 cents for people who own R3 in Bangalore - NEVER GO TO "BANGALORE WHEELS". NEVER.

Here is a picture of the cracked oil sump.
Didn't expect the things to change so much just because two service managers left. Pacer is only our hope now.

I am a bit confused where to go, till date the bike was serviced from Bangalore wheels and the bike has broken fairing clips, missing screws, bolts, washers and what not, all thanks to the svc guys there. I am literally done with Bangalore wheels , but I am yet to find an alternate Yamaha SVC in Bangalore. No choice here other than to go to a Yamaha SVC for a recall ! I wish they gave away the necessary parts so that we could do it ourselves.

Radiator hose and Torsion spring needs replacement. Yamaha has already done the procedure in Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines late November and I am glad that Yamaha India is also proactive here. Radiator hose replacement is limited to a few units but torsion spring issue has affected some 2018 models as well.
Any owners in Bangalore knows if any service centers in Bangalore have received the parts, kindly update here. Hey Ivin, how are you?

We've got complaints from many owners about B'lore Wheels and their service.

You can try out Pacer Hebbal. Have been servicing the bike from them since 2015 and has been a good experience till date. I'll suggest you to go there after 15th Dec though, as Vinod, their R3 specific mechanic will be back by then.

    Thanks, for the info!
I checked on the website and mine does not fall under the recall.

At least just the price would be helpful.
I recently got a quote (over the phone) from a Hyderabad dealer who mentioned it is 3.75 on the road price.
Thats a drop of 25k over the price I heard about earlier.

Is this just a year end drop?

Did anyone add the Motofusion tail tidy on the 2018 R3 or older? How is it?

Yes, as discussed on the WhatsApp group, it is the same here too.
The radiator costs 3,600 INR. But if you still want to buy a radiator guard, here's one link --> https://motofusion.in/shop/radiator-...yamaha-yzf-r3/

A pic would be available only on weekends as I usually forget to take the pic while in office or at home on weekdays due to super busy schedule. But this is the sidebox I am talking about.
    LINK
It is a perfect fit. Have driven in heavy rains. Allowed no water to seep inside.

Hence need to now, if side panniers/boxes of normal studds (Fancy types, suiting the posture of the bike) can be installed or not? Looking forward to your replies. Hopefully, positive ones

What the fluck, how can they be mad if a customer simply asked for price breakup. The meaning is clear, they're overcharging for one thing or the other.
