The levers are a direct fit. The benefits are.Originally posted by sagarzzz View PostSo whats the benifit of changing it?are those levers direct fit?
1. Adjustable reach for people for smaller hands.
2. The levers are stronger and of better quality.
3. Lever action is precise.

Th guy pointed me to the KTM window. The guy simply brought me and took the money. If you insist on getting proper bill and shit, they could ask for RC (happened with me at Honda once, bike was somewhere else and I was getting the parts).
Fun fact - the lever is of Minda make, so even if one doesn't gets it from KTM ASC or there's no KTM in your town, one could try the Minda retailer.
PS - the lever was used on P220 & costed 338 rupees MRP.

Can I buy the levers easily from KTM workshop? If not, can I urge the Bajaj showroom manager to procure one for me, KTM showroom is merged with the bajaj one in my city and is handled by the same manager. He's not my friend or anything, just a friendly manager who tries to be care and co-operate with the premium (dominar) customers.

The KTM SVC in my vicinity does not allow a customer to buy spare parts, so I met the guy after showroom hours and he gave me the levers. But if your guy is friendly enough, there's no harm in asking. BTW what city are you based in?Originally posted by arya809 View PostWell that's what I wanted to hear. Those of you don’t know, i have Dominar 2018 red ABS.
I have had this weird issue of front brake jerk really bad during braking on front... the SA told me it’s a disc and alloy at the front is bent. I have never accepted that allot is bent. It was just a disc at fault. Anyway i rode close to 8k with disc jerk. And finally last week during 20k service. Claimed the insurance and got my alloy and disc bent covered in insurance. Finally loving the brakes again.
With that got my chain-set and tyres replaced... tyres are Michelin Pilot Street radial. Both front and rear. The only con with Michelin is they are way noisier than MRFs...
Shared my disc experience with you all because it might be useful if someone have this issue. I never accepted alloy to be bent is because if it was bent it should jump when the bike is at 100+ kmph which it never did. It was only during braking at front.
So was it bent or not? or it was just the disc? Confused
Yes Michelin Pilot Street is more sticky and hence would make some noise, mostly on tar roads... Any sticky tyre would... Even am planning to change, not just decided on Michelin or Apollo. How much did the set cost you?Last edited by ginzon; 02-07-2020, 02:04 PM.

ECM failure then seems to be the only cause.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostThe wiring and relays are fine.
It is cranking normally but won't start. Waiting for OBD tool now.
Could be a chip or connector failure in the secondary display. Which model year is the Motorcycle.Last edited by Ijs; 02-06-2020, 02:54 PM.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
From what I "suspect" it can be ECM failure too. I'd suggest try swapping the ECM from another motorcycle and see if it starts. This is considering the bike cranks but doesn't fire up.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostThe motorcycle won't start and the SVC isn't unable to help either.
This is what the console shows.
What seems to be like a secondary speedo failure.
Secondly, make sure all the fuses are double checked and clear all codes if necessary.
Keep us posted.
Cheers!

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
That's the lock nut. The lock nut should be securely fastened to the swingarm end. Take a spanner of the right size, and make sure it's tight. Also make sure the axle bolt check nuts are tight too.Originally posted by Tushark View PostThank you for the advice , just looked at how the chain was adjusted and found the nut was not in the place and was freely moving.
