You can go till 85 to 90 KMPH without a sweat. Only thing, important, make sure your engine isn't lugged at low speeds. The only thing to keep in mind is redlining or near redline RPM. Vary the RPM and keep the engine humming and your engine will break in good. You can find owners manual from the company site, if available. Most websites these days provide owners manual, downloadable from their respective website. You can download, something like this.

Bought the Duke 250 Bs6 varient today.
The bike is very refined. But i didnt get any users manual for my duke the showroom person told that the manuals are stopped distributing to the customers🧐.
Were can i find manual for the duke 250??
Whats the rpm limit during the runin .
Iam touching the speeds above 65 is it ok for the new engine?
Also the engine at lowspeeds doesnt feel comfortable has to revv the bike a little bit to stay it in the comfortable state.

But the husqvarna looks toooo stylish in my opinion the bike looks small and the pillion seat is also tiny to accomidate even a moderate personality pillion

Yes sir, Husqvarna is cheaper than D250 by 24000 Rs in Ahmedabad.
D250:- 2,30,000/- on road.
Husqvarna:- 2,06,000/- on road.

a bigger rotor provides more braking torque.. and of course more surface area means better heat dissipation too. the engineers probably figured out the same caliper setup can make do with a slightly bigger rotor for better braking (remember the ktms have a 4 pot radially mounted caliper, which is better than axial mounted 2 piston calipers found on many other sub 400cc bikes)
the later model ktms with bigger rotors too come with the same pads (the pad material being upgraded on the 390 since 2017), but there are spacers on the mounting points of the caliper, this to make sure the pads are biting on the correct area of the rotor and not lower down on the rotor. the pad contact area doesn't increase in this case, obviously because the brake pad is same in size.

the air bubble in the master cylinder is normal. make sure the brake fluid is at the correct level. you could maybe give the rotors a good clean with dish soap water/scotch brite, remove the pads, rub them down a little on sand paper and put them back. and maybe tie down the brake lever using a pieced of string and leave it overnight, any little air in the lines will escape up to the master cylinder. otherwise a proper brake bleeding.

The rotors though have increased in size, the calipers haven't. If there were a design change in the brake pad design, the caliper would have to be redesigned by default. Hence, Bajaj went the better way, use better quality pads with increased rotor size. 20 mm isn't a big of a difference as it is actually on papers. Though the pad contact area can remain more or less the same, the newer calipers have additional spacers on them to make sure the rotor surface area has adequate contact with the pad for improved bite. Secondly, bigger rotors cool well, dissipate heat well, so that too has a factor.

The rubber technique is useless. The only way you can remove them is, thoroughly bleed the system using fresh fluid. The newer pads come with shims for reduced pad shrill and offer excellent bite and feedback when compared to old stock ones, they were totally worthless brakes.

Why not a Husky 250? Svartpilen? cheaper than duke 250 and looks just wow. It's a bit premium than duke 250. And mechanically same to duke 250.

Hi guys...I have a couple of queries with regards to the braking system -
1. I upgraded my brake pads to the sintered ones of the 390.
But I was surprised to find that the sintered pads made for the 320mm rotors of 390 were of the exact same dimensions as that of the normal pads installed with the 300 mm disc
So, why does the 390 have bigger disc because the contact patch that the pad makes with the disc is same in both the bikes?

2. My odo stands at 4000 kms but I hv started experiencing a very spongy front brake lever. Also an air bubble is visible within the fluid when looking through the glass of the fluid reservoir. What should I do to restore the brake feel ? ( I already tried the rubber band method but it didn't made any tangible difference)
