@truelypulsarian
Congrats on the new bike.
Dont worry too much, just ride the bike for a couple thousand km and you will get used to it. As for the noise, cant say for sure without hearing it. maybe take the green dishwash scrubber and clean the disc rotor with some soapy water and wipe it clean and see if the noise persists.
Coming to the speeds.. keep it under the rpm's specified.. you can easily hit a 100+ with the rpms still under the company recommended value during run in.. just that let the bike warm up (4 bars on the temp reading) before you whack the throttle open.
Thanks for your suggestion mate.
I do leave the engine at idle for 1-2 mins after i start the bike before every ride.
Well, TP, things evolve and things evolve for good, don't they? For what they're worth, making things smoother is better, especially KTM-Bajaj have worked on improving the smoothness of their entire range. Talk about the rough 220 of yesteryears and current gen 220s, the smoothness observed is night and day, it all has to do with the balancing of the harmonic oscillations within the engine. Enjoy your motorcycle, whatever you do, don't over rev, and take it to upper limit speeds every now and then, absolutely nothing to worry.
Ride safe!
Cheers!

Hi VJ so can i touch 90+ speeds from now frequently?
You know the D250 is much smoother than my fz version 2 kuddos to the ktm for making their current bikes more refined. Even the gear shifts are very smoother for this the reason might be the present of slipper clutch.
Completed 700 kms on my new duke250 so far the experience is good with the bike except that the rear brake is producing some hissing noise specially in the lower speeds. Maximum speed i touched as of now is 95kmph. The manual suggests not to cross 7,500 rpm untill first 1000 kms, But 90 kmph comes around 6.5 k rpm i guess correct me if iam wrong. The chain is soo noisy need to correct it at the first service.
The only thing iam little bit dissapointed is the engine sound O man its soooo smooth like the honda unicorn[emoji15] belive me you cant even a little bit of engine sound above 75 kmph. Is this the same case with the BS4 model???
This Bs6 Duke250 is just ktm branded with japanese engine bike[emoji12][emoji16]

It's available Srvn and working for me perfectly. Please open the link, and on the upper right hand corner you will see an arrow pointing downward, that's the download button. Pressing it will automatically begin your download.
Hi VJ, PDF not available. Could you please reshare it?
Thanks

You can find owners manual from the company site, if available. Most websites these days provide owners manual, downloadable from their respective website. You can download, something like this.
Those speeds for a few seconds ideally shouldn't be an issue, but it's recommended that you don't cross 7k until the first service. The hissing could be a result of some debris.
90 kmph comes beforetouching the 7 k rpm .
Also one more thing dude the 1st gear is little jerky and not as smooth as my fz [emoji17]. From the 2nd gear every thing goes well but the initial gear is too jerky[emoji37]
Is it ok to touch the speeds above 85 kmph
Today i touched the speeds above 80 & below 90 kmph thrice that too for few seconds. The bike is 200 kms old.
Since i didnt get any owners manual hard copy many doubts are creeping in my mind. Also the rear brake is making some hissing noise dont know why the brand new bike that is less than 500 kms old having this silly noise issues from the brakes.
Help me by clearing my doubts regarding the enginerunin

Yes from the begumpet show room.
How did u guess it correctly??
Its 2.36 L on road.
Haha.. I reside nearby i.e mothinagar.
Begumpet KTM is the old and one of the good reputed(as far as reviews go) showrooms in Hyderabad AFAIK.
Even the Probiking service centre for Bajaj vehicles(bigger Pulsars) is there besides the lane from a long time. So guessed like that.
