  • [Ownership Thread]: TVS Apache RR310

So let me start the ownership thread today as nobody else did.

I got my motorcycle yesterday delivered from mysore, sona motors. The delivery experience is beyond something i can put across in words. The hospitality, care shown by the staff is beyond imagination. I reside in Bangalore, but booked my motorcycle from mysore because of the long waiting periods here.

Went by train to mysore early in morning. The GM of Sona motors Mr. Suraj accompanied me personally to the godown where my motorcycle was parked. They have sold 8 motorcycles (RR310) till date.

They provided me breakfast as i had reached directly and did not have anything on the way. Sweets were provided as well. All the staff members were knowledgeable, humble and always ready to help/assist.

The pdi was done, key were handed over, I started the journey with my beloved motorcycle.

Mind you, mine is a 23rd feb make and on this many things changed as compared to first 2 batches of the motorcycle.

It was a 170kms ride and boy what a ride it was! I was shown thumbs up, people stopped around me for pics with this bike. A few boys even followed me on their RS200 so that they could take a few pics along with it.

I also managed to get an overall efficiency of 43kmpl on a 170kms ride.

Attaching a few pics when i was getting 46kmpl and the average speed was 70kmph.

Hope we all have a blast posting our ownership reviews & my god, what a motorcycle!

Hey Rreneav! Thank you so much!

No specific reason, i guess updated parts are always introduced in tvs motorcycles. In this case, I'm sure tvs are going to upgrade these parts foc at a certain point of time.
One of the reasons being customer feedbacks.

                  Emm say smoother by 25-30%?

Also, thanks again! Your Ninja's 31kmpl is giving a tough competition to my 46kmpl haha :P

                    Re: TVS Apache RR310

                    Just a mileage update.

I continued to ride in the city with the same fuel which i filled at the time of delivery.

Filled in for exactly Rs 651 (Rs 74 a litre) which approximately equates to 8.85L.

The kms run on the same was 351.8kms.

Now this includes Bangalore's peak traffic after 175kms.

So the average mileage for both city & Highway was => ~352/8.85 = 39.77kmpl.

Now that, is mind blowing stats! I am blown away as my RTR200 never gave such mileage initially 😛

I know. Moreover i am not that surprised actually. This motorcycle does 70kmph at 4000RPM on 6th gear. I generally am staying somewhere below 60kmph in the city always. So maybe thats why.

Thanks so much! Yes i got the hugger and that ugly grab handled removed before the delivery. TVS has provided a separate spacer for the bolt so that when you remove the hugger, you can put the bolt back in without any issues.
