Total wait was for 70 days.Originally posted by abhi1991 View PostGuys quick question, should we make the full payment before the bike reaches the showroom? The dealership say that the bike in transit and I will only get it after RTO is done.
Full payment only when I he bike was there. And yes they do have to pay to rto for registration.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin

No need, i booked baker express in November with a waiting period of 120 days, but ravishing red arrived 3 weeks before on Feb 26th, i went to the showroom and confirmed the color and took 5 days to pay the amount, after full payment, one day for temporary registration. And there is a slip attached to the owners Manuel the date of sale mentioned is 28-2-2019.Originally posted by abhi1991 View PostGuys quick question, should we make the full payment before the bike reaches the showroom? Bike got delivered on march 8th, and the registration process took nearly 45 days, thanks to corrupted RTO the guy openly asked Rs 30K from the dealer which they refused, and after nearly 6 or 7 visit, and submitting every single document i could, i stopped, later some deal might have made with dealer and RTO the called me after a month, i think i even did my first service before RTO registration

.
So in short see the bike in person and pay the money later, if you booked then then the bike is already allocated to you and it will reach the showroom.

Theoretically for charity purpose, but why would a dealer ask for that (if they asked) never heard it before , pay if you want to but IMO not a good practice to encourage.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
To all those potential owners who are reading this thread to get an idea of the twins (interceptor and GT), do check out olx as well. There are many 650 owners who are selling their bikes just because they got bored or not suiting their styles or whatsoever the reason may be.
The bikes are in good condition as they are only an year old, you still have 2 years of warranty left for the extra peace of mind. Bargain and you'll be able to save around 50k on the current price, or maybe more.
Just give a search on olx and you'll be surprised to see almost all in mint condition with full accessories as well. I regret buying a brand new now after looking at the used ones.Peace

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Will be getting the 5K service done next week. The bike has been fantastic for the last 2500 kilometers after RE updated the ECU.
Definitely changing the oil even though the recommended interval is 10K because it seems quite black in the viewing window. My clutch cable sleeve got burnt due to the clip holding it to the chassis near the right exhaust pipe coming loose, but it appears to be functioning fine. Wondering if I should install the fork gators, didn't opt for them earlier because I view them as a cosmetic upgrade and also didn't want anyone to disassemble the factory fitted forks.
One niggle I've been facing and not figured out is a sudden hardness at times in the front suspension, I end up feeling every single small bump in the road travelling up my arms for short stretches before it goes back to feeling normal again. Hopefully the SC should be able to sort it out.

Engine oil gets black in only few 100kms important thing is the viscosity and quantity. No matter if you use yellowish or redish tone oil it will get dirty by the look.Originally posted by adises View PostWill be getting the 5K service done next week. The suspension thing needs to be looked into. Hearing it for the first time as many are complaining about soft front forks.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hi, guys took the delivery of my baker express interceptor 650 last week, the bike is my first big purchase after starting a job and the experience has been exhilarating. The power available on tap is mind-boggling, it's been at least 3 years since I've owned a bike and compared to pulsar 180, this one is bonkers!
One doubt I had was I have a 20% coupon lying around which I got from the dealership, are any accessories you guys recommend that I should be shelling out? For the bike, I've got fork gaiters and leg guard. Helmet given along with bike is also good enough for me, any clothing and apparel you guys would suggest? I've tried on the explorer jacket at the showroom and the jacket is HEAVY, I'm planning to get a good jacket once I start properly touring but now plans as of now.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
riding jackets are heavy, there's no way around it, but royal enfield ones are expensive for what they offer, so you are better off with other brands like rynox, check the riding gear thread for more options on that.Originally posted by kanahanin View Post, any clothing and apparel you guys would suggest? But if you're on a budget, then explorer jacket at 3600rs after the 20% discount is good, but it doesn't have any winter or rain liner, so it's not good during winters.Last edited by yashasvi; 03-14-2020, 02:14 AM.Peace

congrats, as yashvi said jackets are heavy, my vote save money and spend it on good safety gears other than cosmetic upgrades for bike, get a rain cover from re they are really good, and you may have to consider for seat upgrade later. So you can get a touring seat right now itself or later, the dealer may give a discount coupon later, i got it now after my second service, going to get a cafe racer seat and cowl.
post some pics of the bike, ride safe, consider break in period seriously.
