Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Thanks for the detailed update mate! If I can give my two pennies worth, I think RE has designed the headlight unit to accommodate a halogen bulb(the reflector pattern differs for led/halogen/hid). An LED bulb will bind the oncoming traffic because of its ultra-bright light and that is not my motive.Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostHi,
I went with AUTOBAHN S2 H4.The one in the video my Interceptor only. It is a COB type and works well in dispersion type lens of old 650 twins. Great low beam. Though high beam mainly only for flashing. Not recommended for above 100kph rides in the night. No issues so far and consume less than 25 watts from the stock ones too.
If you have a clear lens after September 2019 batch, go with their M3 LED units.
M3 led headlight Power: 55W per pair Intensity: 16000 lumens (8000lm/bulb) - Luxeon ZES chips for high lumens and excellent light pattern
For high speed night rides I'd recommend their top of the line F5 GXP LED lights.
AUTOBAHN Technologies have a very friendly Customer Support via whatsapp too, they will clarify all your doubts before dispatch.
Cheers!

if it is not your motive to blind anyone why even ask an upgrade option about LED bulbs in the first place? [emoji28][emoji23]
Also what you are saying about "blinding" is seriously outdated, and is particularly mainly for HID kits being used without projector setup, and certain cheap LED units in their infancy 5 years ago.
Since modern high quality LED bulb units have a proper cutoff built-in, with just bit of adjustment on the headlamp beam adjuster, you wil be getting the correct focus and pattern without blinding anyone in low/main beam.
Cheers!

Well then my knowledge of LEDs is outdated [emoji28]. I'll definitely give it a try and hope my opinion changesOriginally posted by jazzysaravana View PostHi,

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hi guys...
I have been riding the Interceptor for past almost one and a half years. It is an astounding machine in sorts that it has actually brought the "motorcycling" back into motorcycle for many.
However, having said that, I face an issue with the seat which is quite nagging and persistent... The seat is nice actually. It is soft and cushiony and the bum doesn't really complaint. But as it is a seat which is flat, I feel that the absence of tail support in such that it negates the USPs of the otherwise nice seat to a large extent. After riding for even a short time, you feel that someone could provide you with at least a towel which you can keep just below your tail bone so that it relives the middle and lower back of stress and fatigue.
I have thought that I will install the handlebar risers to address the issue. The torso will bw more upright and hence the stress to the middle and lower back will be less. I also have a ride on air air seat but cant carry it always for D2D rides. Then a friend advised that why not to go for a seat which has tail bone support like Cont650.
I checked it on net and found that it MAY solve the problem. But before buying a Rs. 4K seat I thought of checking it here.
Does anyone have any inputs or experience with this setup of an Int650 with a Cont650 seat installed? I have heard that the seat of Int650 is more cushiony that of Cont650, but I feel that Cont650 seat might provide enough tail bone support. Any idea?

Try fego float, ride on air , solace bum partner rather than spending on gt seat.Originally posted by enfro View PostHi guys...

Not much difference in comfort level of the two seats.
Touring seat also isn't very helpful heard this from many.
Either get it modified with added foam support or go for fego float.(fego is more economical option)
One rider friend has same issue like yours on different Motorcycle so first he got his seat modified with added u shape foam to support his tail bone and later he started using fego float.

Was thinking of getting a tailbone support only.
But thanks man.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hi, if you check our 650 twins international Facebook group, you will know that many are using the GT touring seat instead of our stock Interceptor seat. It seems to be offer better firmness and slightly wider width near the tail bone region.Originally posted by enfro View PostI do have a air seat from RideOnAir. Also it's always better to get proper custom seat from a good seat maker in your region. If you find that hard, then please check the plethora of options from Sahara Seats in their website or Facebook page. Three of my riding friends in Tamil Nadu group are using them and are fairly satisfied with them. I personally love the new version they launched two weeks ago, thinking about getting it next month.

Cheers!

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Cool. Okay. Just check if they have a return policy for atleast one week. Then if you don't like it after buying you can return it to them.Originally posted by enfro View PostThanks man. That helped. I reached them out but sadly there is no way to test ride it in DElhi.

Also they seem to have an Amazon sellers page too, last I checked in February. If this seat is also there, then I guess Amazon might have a return policy for the same.
Cheers!

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
So some updates from my Interceptor.
I was not very happy with the upright rider triangle in the Interceptor and realized I am more comfortable with the GT rider Triangle. So I changed the 3 contact points, i.e. the GT rearset footpegs, clip on handlebars and Touring seat. I feel much more in control of the bike now.
Further managed to buy a GT 535 Cowl just for looks. I also blacked out certain parts to give it an all black front end.
Here are the pics:

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hi all. I have joined the xbhp community newly. One hell of a place this forum. Have been following it since I got my Interceptor 650 delivered on 30 Nov 18. I have been running the GT clip ons and rear sets on my Interceptor for about five months now. The only thing I have faced is that left clip on tends to touch the tank. Plz share if you have also experienced something similar. Keep riding and stay safe

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Yes it will touch the tank since interceptor tank is bigger.. however I've seen some modifications done to the lock to prevent this. I dont know exactly what it is but if you're in Bangalore, acclaim motors yelahanka do it. But only downside to that is you won't be able to lock on the right sideOriginally posted by Chakrapani View PostHi all. I have joined the xbhp community newly. One hell of a place this forum. Great stuff. I have 2 queries.
First, is the tail bone support good now as compared to the stock Int seat?
Secondly, you have modified the foot pegs. What I understood is that you have replaced the stock Int foot pegs with those of GT. Right? If yes, then I wonder what is the use as the placement of the footpegs can not be changed.
If you meant rear footpegs, then how will that matter for the rider.
Kindly clarify a bit.
Thanks in advance.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
