for me no issue at all, it is a great bike & at the price point, just cant expect more and i am truly enjoying the ride each day. RE has created a winner, even if they increase price i am sure it will not hurt them. they are price leaders in the 650CC category and the the total built quality that they are giving is indeed exceptional.....

We need long term reviews but guess need more time to pass for that

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Honestly, I feel that they've done a decent job with the mechanical bits of the bike. So Far no issues are reported with the engine. Most of the long term reviews point out quality issues (premature rust formation) and ergonomics issues(foot-peg positioning, handlebar reach, and soft seat) which are all rectifiable. Hopefully, RE would sort out the quality issues with coming batches.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I've not seen many real pictures of the Interceptor in Mark-Three (black) colour. I guess that because the majority of the vehicles produced till date have been Orange followed by Silver. If anyone has realtime pictures of a black interceptor, please share.
I'm trying to evaluate Orange vs Black.
While Orange looks quite nice, it is quite the popular choice, so it might end up being too common.
I don't want to look at Custom colours or Chrome since they command a much higher waiting period. I didn't like silver much in person.
Which takes me to black - never saw one directly, but I feel it might look good in person. How about having gold stripes on the tank - like the black continental. It might end up looking very nice.

I'd love to hear your opinions on it, which might help me decide.Last edited by Vibhav-Van; 02-17-2019, 03:43 PM.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
In my opinion its better to go with Orange one as the paint has metallic finish and the overall bike blends well with chrome , black on other hand looks very plain and it would look much better if it had black colored engine. Also they're going to sell many of them it will end up becoming common no matter what color you choose. I see Ravishing red in my office parking lot and it doesn't standout especially when its parked next to RE's.Originally posted by Vibhav-Van View PostI've not seen many real pictures of the Interceptor in Mark-Three (black) colour. But that's my opinion and color is your personal choice and you will be living with the bike and its your hard earned money , buy something that makes you happy not what some tom, dick and harry on road think is cool.
Also if you really want to stand out and add personal touch then you have to go full custom like below

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hello Everyone,
This is my first post/reply here.
I just received my interceptor - silver specter day before yesterday. I had booked it end of nov-18, if I remember correctly.
Anyways, I did a short 200km ride yesterday and bike felt good. I will try and write my experiences in detail once bike is run-in properly.
Hope to learn from all experienced riders (I have picked my ride after 13 years of vacation!).

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
I modified the seat on my INT650 yesterday. My wife complained about back pain as the pillion end sinks as it lacks any kind of support under it.
So, I asked the seat maker to add a layer of foam so that the pillion sits a little higher, compensating for the sinking.
Now, the only thing left is adding a backrest.

Regarding Backrest-
I was checking the one from Zana - https://www.zanainternational.com/ba...tor-gt-650.htm
Looks good from the pictures. But I haven't seen it in person.

How much better are aluminium mirrors wrt default mirror in terms of functionality ?
