For the pillion i am looking for some options to get heat shield for the exhaust till that time I have asked my wife to sit a little carefully (she did burn her legs a bit during the first ride), will let you know if i find something. Personally i feel any vehicle above 300 to 350 cc is not good for commute at least in India (personal opinion) my daily commute is through Metro. But the couple of time i did take the bike to office i felt it heat up quite a bit (this might reduce post first service)
The silencer gaurd or thunderbird or Avenger 220, fixed with pillon foot peg will work fine, it comes for one side and for the other side u need to get it modified to be fitted.

I have already shared that video sharing it again , the guy has not told which bike from these but it is confirmed these are from Thunderbird and similar ones can be found on avenger. For the left side u need to modify it a little.

I think its a bad idea using liquid inside the tires, imagine liquid moving around in the tire which will add moving weight , I would say wait for couple of more months RE could launch alloy wheels for 650 then you can upgrade to that directly.

Let's wait for alloys then [emoji4][emoji4]

Actually prefer the spoke wheel look, looking for conversion kits for the same.

I second that, one Himalayan rider from our group had a tire blast when he was returning from Goa after the royal Enfield carnival. He was lucky, nothing serious damage happened to him. When he checked the tires, the only reason he can correlate was the anti puncture liquid. So avoid that unless until a reputed tire manufacturer releases it.

What are your thoughts so far on this? Any other major issue u encountered. How's the bike for a daily commute in City.
Just came back home after having a short ride with my mother. I asked her if she was comfortable multiple times during the ride as I was expecting it to be uncomfortable for her, but she was comfortable. Seat is uncomfortable though. I remember my first longer ride (100km total) became little uncomfortable after riding for around 50km or so just because of the seat. Pillion footpegs are trouble for taller pillions. Had a ride with my mother, sister and GF, none of them complained about the discomfort because of footpegs being too high. But taller pillions found it little odd as they had to raise their knees really high, but they didn't mention it to be uncomfortable though. I use it for daily commute to my office, but it is just 3 km from my home so cannot say if daily commute for longer distance is gonna be challenging. As far as I believe, I think it should not be a problem. Just to back up my statement, I would like to mention that I have crossed 1000 km on it

Ok the next strange thing that seemed to have happened. I feel like the exhaust got louder. On my way back home nearly an hour back from this post, I suddenly started hearing exhaust note while riding. Because of the Engine sound, I did not hear the exhaust note while riding before. It seemed to have gone louder. Is it natural? Or do I need to start with a new struggle again??!!

I just had a chat with the Royal Enfield Brand Showroom in Bandra, Mumbai regarding my Interceptor 650 Ravishing Red booking on December 25th. Around Jan they had estimated delivery in the 2nd week of April but today they said a vehicle has not yet been allotted and they can't commit on a delivery day - that it depends on how many customers cancel their bookings.

Is this normal? I thought basis bookings Royal Enfield puts orders into a queue and it's just fulfilled in that order...

When I was waiting for my bike, I was being told that the orders are executed as per the queue. The delivery may get delayed due to many reasons, one of the most important being big demand and poor supply. Ravishing red is having a huge waiting time though. Today itself I visited the dealer to meet a friend where they had given delivery time of minimum 5 months to the customer for Ravishing Red. I think that might be the reason for the delay at their end. I booked standard version on 12th December and got it on 25th Feb. Waiting since 25th December is a big test of the patience...

Flickering speedometer needle?? Any one. Today I noticed the indicator flickers (actually dances) between the speed 70 and 80. I dont know if it was there since beginning and if I noticed it today itself. Anyone faced this issue?

I think this may be the reason. I myself have booked a interceptor 650(Baker Express) and had it delayed countless times (till May) maybe the manufacture doesn't care about the people who pay more money for the custom option and only focus on stock and chrome. If what you say turns out to be true then booking a bike becomes pointless as the entire point of booking is to allot a specific bike to you. Well bye bye Rs.5000.

this is all just my opinion and i may be wrong since this is my first interaction with an enfield bike and it doesn't seem to be good maybe people who dealt with this before please do share your side.

well i had booked Ravishing Red on 20th of Nov and was given date in Feb was told that there is a central system i.e. queue as one books the bike he will be immediately added to queue i waited then waited for entire March but no sign of bike so i have cancelled the booking and got my money back whats the point of launching the bike when you can't provide it at time.
