Is this true? Can anyone who's put in the sump guard experienced anything similar? The sound is a low pitched rumble nose on the plate something like tapping a plate with your fingers type of noise.
I haven't experienced any such noise & on my bike the sump guard was installed after around 10 days from delivery dt was removed during 1st service & got re fitted while changing oil filter.

Damn, I should've known. I'll try escalating this issue to the manager.

Royal Enfield upgrading rear suspension system of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 with rubber buffer built-in

In an exclusive report, we can reveal that Royal Enfield has been upgrading the rear suspension system of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 with rubber buffer built-in. No official recall has been issued by the brand but the owners complaining about the rear suspension have received new shocks. The first lot of 650 Twins delivered did not have this rubber buffer setup and they can be upgraded at authorised showrooms with free of cost.

          1st Service Update:

I got my bike's 1st service done at 507 km at Kay Tee Automobiles in Mahipalpur, Delhi. Good folks and great hospitality. They have a dedicated service engineer for the 650 twins who was quite knowledgeable and did a good job. His name is Nitin, he was pretty intuitive and gave a good run down of things that were going to be done to the bike in the 1st service. Later when the service was done, he again walked me through the additional things he noticed and fixed. It took them 5 hours to complete the job. In addition I got Sump guard fixed and Teflon coating done. Overall for my 1st ever experience with an RE service centre, I was quite pleased. Their service manager Rohit is pretty hardworking and a no compromise guy, I think his training by the RE team has taught him a lot and I was mighty impressed by his attention to detail.

Bike runs as good as before, in fact slightly smoother. I noticed that the exhausts sound more immersive now. I took the bike to slightly above 4k RPM reaching upto 120 kmph just to test how it behaves, amazing confidence inspiring stance on the road. Full SUV style pull with heft and puts a big grin on your face. Of course I wont be doing this often :P

Also I finally figured why I found the lights inadequate, when I got the flyscreen installed they must have wrongly adjusted the headlights and the throw was not reaching the road. Nitin took care of it and now there's good visibility at night, so much so that even when wearing a dark smoke visor (which is not advisable during night time riding) I was able to see the road ahead quite clearly.

That's all for now folks, I will keep posting my experience. Safe riding people!

Is it true that the FI system of the India spec model & the export spec model is different? & the India spec model doesn't get O2 sensor & thus the performance of the bike is compromised at high altitude places like North Siikim or Ladakh.

This sounds very strange, doesnt happen with me. Do check the dashboard for engine warning light, nevertheless take it to the SVC for a check up.

Never felt this, do get it checked could be a leaky pipe.

Ha ha ha one more rumor, brother check your Motorcycle the lambada/ o2 sensor is already there . It is connected at the very point where the exhaust started coming out of the engine head.

My Interceptor 650 already has these yellow rubber buffers installed, and there is no official confirmation on this from re.
Could be a rumour. I got it on 3rd april 2019, and it arrived at showroom in the last week of march.

No way 180/80 is not possible even with rim change, and stock rear is 130 section no 120. And no thunderbird ever came with 180 section rear.

As soon as possible, leaky fuel is not good news.
