I am looking to order Zana leg gaurd for Interceptor. Rest all accessories like seat/mirror/windshield I am getting from RE itself. Can I get the Zana gaurd fitted from RE itself before delivery. Or I need to get it done from some local mechanic( as I don't know have any Zana store in my area )

I think you should ask your dealer if they will fit anything bought from outside, because the dealer has the right to refuse to fit any that is not from RE. You can also get it done at the local mechanic too. as the mounting points for the Zana crash guard are same as the one offered buy the RE. You can see the fitting instructions provide by RE on the product page itself.

I was planning on buying dominar after riding my pulsar 180 ug4 for 9 years, i wanted a bike with more power and dual channel ABS and dominar was fitting my criterion. But after waiting for 2 months for the bike to get launched in my city I got tired.
Somehow i stumbled across the gt twins on youtube and i thought why not give it a try. Today the continental GT 650 was brought to my place for test drive and after some paperwork the salesperson gave me the keys of the bike and told me to go alone, i was surprised because normally the salesperson accompany for a test drive but this was better.
It felt a bit heavy in the beginning but as soon we started moving the weight disappeared and god does she pulls! I was blown by the acceleration of the bike and soon I had crossed the 100 kmph mark. I loved the riding position as i don't like riding upright. The bite of the brakes was very good as well. Everything felt perfect like it was made for me
The only issue i felt was that my under thighs started feeling the heat of the engine very soon but mind you it was 45° Celsius today in jaipur and i took the test drive at 3 pm!
They told me that waiting period is of 2 months but they have chrome version available in the stock and is ready for delivery, so what do you people suggest, should I wait or go for the chrome?
          Peace

This totally depends on how you use your bike,
does your bike stay in covered parking ?
You don't use tank bags for touring etc?

If the answer for both questions is No then better get it coated else not required.

Here's the thing if you're buying a bike which more than 300 cc plus you can expect some heating there's no way to get around it you just have to get used to it, and in case of RE 650 don't even think about riding with slippers you have to have shoes for your own safety. But honestly the heat management is much much better if you compare it to Harley 750.

What type of coating you are talking here the ppf or some like a nano coat.
I have personally never used any of this, just used liquid polish by 3m or the formula 1. And absolutely nothing in the chrome bike.
Here 3m is asking 9.5k for the full tank and side panel ppf, and it is not worth it

If you like the chrome then buy it or else wait for your choice. In person i found Dr. mayhem and chrome to be the best for gt.
              My int650 is also chrome.

                Exactly,

You see two of my friends own the 2017 Triumph Street Twin and T100 and I have ridden it multiple times. Comparing our Interceptor to these two 900cc Bonnies I can say without doubt our 650 twins don't even produce 25% of the heat in peak bumper to bumper traffic.

The liquid cooled Bonnevilles don't like traffic jams and they become a real bummer and coupled with a mildly loud radiator fan it becomes annoying, more so with a pillion. Now comparing the Bonnevilles to Harleys, you might find even the Bonnie's a blessing.

With jeans, boots and right seating posture I've never felt annoyed or bothered about engine heat in the last three weeks of scorching Chennai heat on the Interceptor. In the first 200-300kms there was a certain amount of heat but after first service and crossing 1000kms, heat levels are down significantly.

Two times I've ridden without helmet and with shorts and crocs to my 400m away milk booth. Only while returning I felt a mild amount of heat rushing past the thighs due to shorts.

We must thank the mainly low compression ratio of 9.5 and an under stressed 648cc for the comparatively less heat in the 650 twins.

                Cheers!

Got my first servicing done at the company service center at OMR - overall the experience was pretty well managed. Total cost came to 3315 INR; including the gasket change cost. They seemed to have got a few -ve feedbacks wrt to that; as the service advisor went into details on why it is required and why it doesn't come under warranty / free service.

On a side note, wrt the heat of the 650s; I ride my bike on shorts and slippers on a daily basis (within the city, short 4-5 km rides). If one is careful to not touch the silencers and the engines, it is quite possible and the heat dissipating from the engine while riding is noticeable but not an issue. You feel like you are standing under the exterior part of a split-AC that lines up office showrooms; slightly hot air being thrown at you, but manageable; even at ~40deg temperatures in the afternoon.

How to use this liquid polish? & If you can share some link where I can buy it?

Formula 1 carnabluba wax and 3M liquid polish are 2 of my go to products. If u whish to try local Indian made then Sheeba liquid polish is also good.
And if u are worried about belt buckle scratching the tank then u can get that portion laminated from any local sticker guy, or use a tank pad of good quality.

For chrome use only chrome powder or nickel powder. Buffing soap can be used on engine casing (for this look for mehra riderz on YouTube).

You can also source H 9 nano coating from AliExpress and apply it it one coat lasts for around 4 to six months one friend is using on his car.

RE dealership quoted me 36220₹ for 5 year insurance of gt 650 chrome including own damage, third party and nill depreciation, when i checked the same with my insurance guy he quoted me 27500₹ for the same deal, it is by new India assurance company. Guess we can save a lot by getting insurance from outside
