Has anyone installed a Bypass switch to get rid of the always on headlamp abomination without cutting wires? If we don't cut any wires and somehow manage to install a switch does it void warranty?

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Any good auto electrician would do it, Classic 500 bs3 switch assembly is what you need and few couplers to avoid any wire cut. Few guys have got this done here from karolbag.Originally posted by yashasvi View PostHas anyone installed a Bypass switch to get rid of the always on headlamp abomination without cutting wires? Check out NCR motorcycles on YouTube that guy has made coupler to avoid the wire cutting and would guide you to how to do it with Classic bs3 rhs switch assembly.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
hello everyone,
I am nearing the first service for the interceptor and have a question regarding the engine oil selection.
I know the recommended oil change at 500kms is Synthetic, but came across articles which suggests using mineral oil for additional 2000kms, which will help in better break-in of the engine. Any suggestions/recommendations on this?
I would also like to know incase I go with the non recommended oil ( ie; mineral oil instead of synthetic ), will that make my warranty void.
Thanks in advance

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Stick to what the company recommends that article u have read must be about low capacity bikes modern day engines are made differently and companies do good enough r&d before finalizing the oil grade.Originally posted by brijkrish View Posthello everyone,

Mineral oil in our case would burn faster and would also be thicker. 10w50 fs the recommended oil is good enough for all purpose.
The factory filled oil is different though that's why the change is early also , there is a magnet on the head of drain plug to collect metal particles. Gradually show the full range of rpm to the engine don't ride it like a 100cc.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Hei IJS is right, some of a few guys asked same thing during a get-together conducted by RE for twin owners at coching and the RE technician said the same try bs3 switch. Initial i thought to do that, some of the guys ride with me that day already did it their own, but i decided to keep. it kind of alert other vehicle and people especially on rainy season. last week i rode with RE club and all classic guys were riding with headlight on, saw i am gonna keep it for while.Originally posted by yashasvi View PostHas anyone installed a Bypass switch to get rid of the always on headlamp abomination without cutting wires? Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Because of AOH, the jaywalkers don't pay any heed to me giving them pass switch, because the headlamp is always on, pressing on to the pass switch simply turns the low beam to the high beam, moreover during day time it does't even registers any difference. Before GT, whenever i used to use pass switch on my pulsar the jaywalkers would stop immediately, it was like a warning to them. But now it's not happening, pass switch used, nothing! But my safety is more important so not gonna make any changesOriginally posted by intr650 View PostHei IJS is right, some of a few guys asked same thing during a get-together conducted by RE for twin owners at coching and the RE technician said the same try bs3 switch.
