Re: WSBK 2015 Championship - Update

    Wsbk round 2 live on star sports 4 tomorrow. 11 am race 1, 12:45 race 2, 2:30pm race 2.

Block your schedules. Top 4-5 riders are all British. The story is still kawasaki vs aprilia.
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

...and we have the Chinese GP of F1 and if anyone's interested, we have UFC fight night on Sony six live on Sunday.

Last weekend was so boring, this one will be equally exciting (hopefully)

Discussing F1 on a two wheeler forum. Blasphemy

Any clue about the TV schedule, is anybody airing WSBK in India?

No discussion, it was just an FYI
I suppose Start sports has the rights to telecast, the 1st race was telecast live. Can't find the schedule for the Aragon round. I guess will have to see a recorded telecast.

For UFC it's on sony six on saturday night 12:30AM(Sunday) live from Poland

Didn't see the race but Rae won race 1. Tom 3rd with Davies bring the Ducati in at 2nd. But as usual top 4 are all British, followed by 3 Spanish riders. :P

Re: WSBK 2015 Championship - Update

Saw both the races. The first one was fun watching Rea and Davies battling it out to the line. The second race saw Davies dominate the race and run away to convincing victory. The first victory for the Ducati Panigale in WSBK.

A good day for British motorsports fans. Both WSBK races, Moto2, Moto3 and F1 was won by Brits yesterday!

Saw the complete race two on star sport today. Toms crash was nasty, even though it was not very fast. The Honda's with both world champions on board are really struggling. Happy to see Ducati winning at WSBK. I'm still rooting for the Kwakers but didn't expect Rar to be above Tom :P

Re: WSBK 2015 Championship - Update

Looks like Hero EBR will be withdrawing from WSBK

Team Hero EBR to withdrawal from World Superbike
Team Hero EBR will be forced to withdrawal from the World Superbike Championship for the immediate future. With the recent bankruptcy of EBR and the re-prioritizing of efforts by title sponsor Hero, Pegram Racing is unable to continue its Team Hero EBR program at this time. Pegram Racing is dedicated to returning to racing very quickly and will announce our future plans very soon.

“This is a really hard pill for us all at Pegram Racing to swallow, as we always live by the philosophy of Never Give Up,” said team owner Larry Pegram. “The whole team did a amazing job of improving results from last year and giving some pride back to EBR and Hero. Niccolo Canepa was riding like the Champion he is, he was literally making people's jaw drop at what he was doing with our motorcycle. I am so proud of the job he did. One thing for sure Pegram Racing will be back on track and it will be sooner than you think.”

In making the withdrawal announcement, Pegram Racing would also like to recognize the dedicated employees of EBR, who lost their employment with the bankruptcy...
"We have worked closely with them and not only appreciate how amazing it was to have a true American Superbike to ride, but how intensely hard that small group of employees at EBR worked to build the EBR bikes, and also support our racing program and other racers," said Larry. "We are hoping they too will return soon. They deserve to continue."

Re: WSBK 2015 Championship - Update

Another team withdrawing from WSBK, that means 4 WSBK riders are without a ride for the rest of the season.

Not that this will make any difference to guys running at the front, but still EBR was doing reasonably well for what it was worth! But it was bound to happen i guess.

Wsbk not being telecasted live is really not helping. Although star sports has the rights and eight channels to broadcast, they still don't favour wsbk.

Update: Kawasakis take a double 1-2 at Imola with Rae leading the pair to the finish line.

Rea is really making WSBK boring this season. This year, it seems the MotoGP races are going to far more interesting with a number of dogfights than WSBK. Though WSS is looking good what with the Cluzel vs Sofuoglu battle on nice and proper!

Yeah, but I would have been really excited if I was a Rae fan. I would really want Tom to do something about it. The former champ is quite far behind. He certainly will have to make double wins over a single weekend to close the gap and that won't be easy with the Honda champs and Ducati joining the mix.

You clearly are not a Rea fan, or else you would get his name correct at least once

I don't think Sykes would be able to pull any off anything from his bag of tricks. Beaten convincingly by his 'new' teammate repeatedly would have surely shaken his confidence. Sad though for Davies who showed good form in both the races, unfortunate to be let down by his machine.

But what a race it was, especially the last 6 laps when it was restarted. Crazy stuff, everybody was riding at 100% for those 6 laps. Awesome to watch
