    Thread Approved

Even before i opened the thread, i was going to type out 'let the games begin' then i saw what you typed!

    ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

First 2018 test tomorrow at Valencia. All will be present, except Tom Luthi who still hasn't recovered from his accident. He will get to test only in January.

Yamaha will be testing the 2016 chassis along with their newer updates. Suzuki has a brand new engine and unlimited testing.

KTM also will be bringing a new engine, though it will come in January next year i think.

Not sure about Ducati, Honda and Aprilia.

Bunch of rookies this year entering the field.

zarco rules..love it when someone new in the field surprises everyone like he has done..love his riding spirit too, and while he does tend to get a bit too aggressive occasionally, i still love that shit lol (dont much care that lorenzo, rossi and a few others have criticised him for this)..as long as he doesn't try to punt or kick or torpedo someone off the track (or shove his ass inside a corner when there's literally no space for another bike without hitting someone else) intentionally or semi-intentionally, i am fine with a bit of aggression of his..would love to see him on a good factory bike..hope he continues and betters his form next season...

Will miss commentator Nick Harris next year. Yamaha have some serious work to do by sorting out the chassis on their factory bike as a good number of races in the season nowadays are in the wet.

Did anyone see the video of the 500cc two stroke Suter being ridden along with the Moto2 and Moto3 bikes at Jerez?

The bike was apparently slower than Moto3 bikes at the track! Of course ridden by Eskil Suter and not a current GP rider.

Six-time World Champion Marc Marquez is rewriting the MotoGP operations manual every race weekend.

There are a few videos and articles on the Suter 500 on the web. But not too much detail

i think one wouldn't be too wrong to assume that by now MM has developed the "save" as a technique rather than the literal meaning of save which bases itself upon luck..earlier it was luck, but with repeated occurrences of shit like this with him, most of them very similar to each other, he's likely observed a pattern on how to "save" it, harnessed it as an event to always mentally and reflexively be ready for (more than others) and perfect the technique of "saving" himself..

Still at loggerheads what led to the Yamaha slip-down later in the season. That said, Zarco should be the leading light for them next year. As for Rossi, only his own motivation will keep him going. No contest with Marquez as of now it seems. But I guess the Marquez-Dovi-Vinales-Zarco thing would be the thing for this season. And oh yes, all the best Yamaha!

Nice to hear the behind the scene views ,i'm sure he has a lot of inside stories which he could turn into a book .Was one of the most dignified of the crew chiefs who rarely showed his emotions during the races.
