Thank God, you have not scraped your kneeOriginally posted by GP_freak View PostThis happened on my last visit to the track. i got a bit carried away with my knee down and i was able to slide my knee on the tarmac in all the right handers. Left handers were a bit tough. But atlast made some contact in C3 for the first time.
Now not sure what to do with these sliders. Should i get a new one ?
. Darn my stupid enthusiasm
...what are you gonna do with those old damned sliders...get a new pair...Is it coming in pairs only?

Very very good question broOriginally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostHow is it that the inner end of your knee was scraped (I assume that the knee pads on the left and right are for their respective knees)? Generally the outer edges of the knee are susceptible for scraps for me, but this looks like you had your knee out at an extreme angle

Its giving me chills in the spine buddy.Originally posted by Camille1198R View Post@GP_freak :Can you imagine if that is your skin ...
Actually brother, i am very new to track, i am just learning in numbers. But what you tell is right.Originally posted by Braumabull View PostI dunno for sure,
But I guess U should not put complete pressure of kness.
its just for a Little support
Correct me id I'm wrong
Compared to the other products that was available in chennai, this was very good, but i think this is not good enought for learning how to slide the knees. BTW the photos are safe in Sajivs cam.Originally posted by rachitkohli View Postman.. i own the same knee pads..!! u really need some tough ones dude!!..
any pic of sliding knees would be a treat for us
Actually its a very sweet feeling in the track when the knees touch the ground, but i have planned to refrain from it.Originally posted by Samyaza View PostDude you're supposed to use your knees as a way of measuring your lean. Don't scrape it alover the place. Anyway you'll have to get new ones now.
The thing is that the better you get the more you'll begin to feel comfortable while leaning and scraping your knees. You'll go through a pair like every trackday!
The left and the right are for the respective knees, but remember, its a photographs, hence if you imagine if that guard is in the knee, then the scraps will be only in the outer edges of the knee.Originally posted by EL LOCO DIABLO View PostHow is it that the inner end of your knee was scraped (I assume that the knee pads on the left and right are for their respective knees)? You don't use knee protectors as sliders. You need to get sliders separately or your going to end up scraping the protectors helplessly.
The sliders dont wear out as much and the contact patch with the ground is pretty less. And like Samyaza mentioned, dont drag it, just get till the point where you barely touch the ground.sigpic

They can't be used over jeans. You get them as a set with some riding pants esp leather ones. Replacement sliders alone can be bought separately to be used with those pants.Originally posted by GP_freak View PostI have heard about sliders, but is it available here ? yup i do need some thing which doenst wear out soon.

Hagn. Yes, you are talking about Knee pucks. I think even they last only for a couple of track daysOriginally posted by Samyaza View PostThey can't be used over jeans. Sometimes its good to use Google to get ur answers to trivial things!Originally posted by GP_freak View PostHagn. Yes, you are talking about Knee pucks. I think even they last only for a couple of track days
These my friend are knee sliders.... <click on the images!>

They are attached onto the knee part in a Leather racing suit.....

They are changeable as they finish in a finite number of trackdays depending on how often you are putting ur knees down._________________________
