Guys, next time im riding alone to the track... so that way i could atleast make it there... god im missing all the grind
I got the yamaha gloves for 1.9 k, then the knee and enlow sliders for 2.4 k.

The yamaha R15 gloves doesnt live up to the price we pay, the cramster are good though.... All the praises goes to Shajiv for riding them from bangy even when he had fever.....

@Shajiv - Thanks once again. looking forward to ride with you in the near future...

The day a rider stops cribbing about the bike, riding will surprisingly improve. Heck, you have to look so much and focus on the track that its almost impossible to keep your eyes on a gear indicator, tacho, speedo etc. All that a race bike needs is a tachometer and nothing else. Everything, including a speedo is also a distraction.
On a stock bike, a quick throttle is not needed and an R15 does its job easily.
Learn to adjust with the bike and things will fall in place automatically.
I am not cribbing man.To be honest, i am not able to determine in which gear the bike is. Except for in the straights, i havent looked in to the speedo either. Agreed that a race bike needs only a tacho, but i am not yet racing.I am learning. What i believe, if i need to improve, first i need to know where i lack. Concentrating in the areas where some one is bad will yeild quick and better results than to improve in areas where we are really good, since there is going to be very little room for improvement.

The gear indicator is going to help me a lot in selecting the correct gear before entering in to the corners. The real problem i faced in the track was that the bike was hitting the rev limiter..A couple of times i had to really shift to the next gear even through the corners. I felt really embarrassed.
I have not used the Sixth gear inside the city except for cruising. To say, i never cross 75 in the city. You pretty well know that these speeds can be done in 3rd in track, but that is not feasible inside the city, hence i do that in 6th( heck mine is giving only 32km per litre ) Also i have just put 600 Km in the ride, out of which 200 was done in the track day.

Once i get accustomed to the gears, i can push the bike pretty well. Also riding with full gloves for the first time was like taking an unknown road. I was not able to judge the throttle and brake inputs. It seriously lacked the feedback what you get through your palms without gloves.

            P.S

I never once complained that this bike seriously lacks kick in low revs. Every R15 owners has cribbed about it, but this is what i love in the bike. It gives a sedate ride in low revs for city riding and a serious kick for Track in high revs.

I will post the timing after my second track day. You will surely see the improvements i am gonna make. I am telling this not after understanding my strenghts, but after the analysis of my mistakes.

He he.. i completely agree... people forget that defending themselves aint gonna give results....
though for my friend here, Mr. GP_Freak, is full of youthful exuberance and enthusiasm.... lets see you on the next track day.... everyone will not see the way i look at things, but if i were you i wount want my results to do the talking and not my "mouth".... simple....
i am not trying to demotivate you here, i asking you to point your finger at yourself rather than the bike for the first time..... Initially even i had a problem to know which gear i was at... but honestly do you really think you should know if you know a bike very well ??? unnecessary information will also make you slower.... so please, defending yourself does not look good here... from here on lets make sure we talk only results....

Hey! The gear indicator is present on motogp bikes though.. They say its a very important feature.. Maybe coz of the power of the bikes, or maybe coz of the noise around on the track..

                My views on the YZF-R15 V2.0: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/news/198...tml#post699240

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

You still didn't understand what i am trying to express.. Didn't ya ? You can see my reply a couple of post earlier. That would give you a picture of what i am trying to tell.

BTW, who said i am defending myself by blaming the bike?? And why is that you always jump in to conclusion ?? This is not the first time i am seeing it.. Humm..
the bike is doing it job perfectly. Actually i have all the ten fingers pointed at me. Its just that i am not able to adapt the sudden change from my p150 and also that was my first track day and i didn't wanna crash and put me in an akward situation.

The gear indicator is going give a single digit output, i don't understand how that is going to cloud my mind. After i gain experience, its going to go off.
But initially i could do a systematic study with that.. These datas wil let me know how i am lacking.
Next time, i will tail you and learn things, then you can tail me and criticise a big time.:-) i don't mind that because, if you hadn't pointed out something, i wouldn't have improved by stances during the curve..
Am not gonna explain anything more. Am actually waiting for the next track day..btw, do you know when the track is free next ?

Need to work first the position of the body on the bike, then the trajectory then the speed and lean.

For gear indicator, i think that will be natural after... to have the good gear... else you will feel it.
You have just to switch between 3 gears (me only 2 lol, 4th and 5th) then easy .
