My personal best in the long loop has been a best of 2:19s(consistent 2:21s) but have not seen the chennai track since 5 months now. next time would like to shave 2 secs off 2:19.
group B rtrs are faster than group B R15 ? Humm.. Is it because of the better mid range punch of RTR ? What is the max speed on t straights ? btw, pls do reply for my previous queries.

Nope we haven't timed others...Yeah others should have been pretty quicker than u...

The group B RTRs are a league apart from the R15s. From the word GO, they wheelie and disappear. Nothing can stop them after that. Mid-range, top-end everywhere its unbeatable. Anyways there is nothing close to a standard RTR engine inside. Its something else.
Last round at Kari, the R15s were around 400mtrs behind the RTRs in 5 laps. Thats a massive difference.
For someone of your weight, its very much possible to do a good 2:22s provided you put the right riding. You can even chop another 2-3 secs if you are sharper.

                @Joel

How different are the Group-B RTRs from your magical R15?

...And any update regarding the RTR180s getting into racing?

Hummm....so 2.22 it is for now. Let me see how many track days it takes to achieve that mark. Btw, i feel that two things would help me a lot in improving
                      • A quick action throttle, so that i wouldnt need to wring my wrist in the 15. Especially this bike needs it.
                      • A gear indicator ( this is required only for practising ) To get to know the gears.
Can you help in this ? Cos i know you are running a group B 15

Humm... so you are 20 Kgs less than me hugn, it is compensated with the leathers you are wearing?? BTW, it seems you are hell bent towards racing ? Any time when the track is free and when you visit, just ping me, i will be there. But under one condition, I want you to Ride with Me / Us. You seemed to be so isolated from the group.

@To all who were present in the track - You guys left me stranded. This was the first time i met many in person, then again there were very few, who actually spoke to me...

@ saicheeco - were are the pics man ?

Me also i want a quick action throttle... because from close throttle to full opened throttle i need to do the move in 2 time on my p150....
I have reduce the "play" (is the good word?) and i have little increase the diameter of the part where throttle cable going... but that is not enough.

You really need a gear indicator ? This is not truck gearbox , there is only 6...

@camille - its only six gears, but during riding i am not able to determine in which gear the bike. Sometimes, i am hitting the rev limiter even through the corners and am shifting to the next even before exiting the corner. Thats bad...
Also only the handling of the bike is forgiving, if at any point of time/gear, if you are less than 6.5 k rpm, the bike doesn't pull.It pulls like a pig below that..its not as in the case with the bike you are in... Pulsars have a very good roll on acceleration. You wil be forgiven even if you happen to be in a higher gear. Not sure about RTR though. Thats not my piece of cake.

YOu guys are talking about gear indicators and quick throttle? I'm surprised.
The day a rider stops cribbing about the bike, riding will surprisingly improve. Heck, you have to look so much and focus on the track that its almost impossible to keep your eyes on a gear indicator, tacho, speedo etc. All that a race bike needs is a tachometer and nothing else. Everything, including a speedo is also a distraction.
On a stock bike, a quick throttle is not needed and an R15 does its job easily.
Learn to adjust with the bike and things will fall in place automatically.
