The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

          Lucky Man !

He escaped without burns in his jeans because Panjagutta flyover is place where vehicles move above 60kmph.

From the pic it seems like only the right side fairing of the bike was burnt.
Any info in the report on what caused it or could have caused it?

IIRC, this had happened earlier coz someone has kept a piece cloth of cloth in the air scoop thats on the right side fairing.
Could mighty well be the reason again, despite Yamaha installing a mesh on the air scoop now.
Not Yamaha's fault if keeping a cloth there was the reason!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

lol yeah, arent some of us smart to sneak a cloth to wipe the bike is the crevices around?
There was a similar incident a couple of years back, and then YAMAHA quickly jumped into action by providing the mesh as a free upgrade AND the cautionary sticker on new panels...

Looks very much similar to me...

Might be, but was'nt the mesh supposed to stop the cloth from being caught in the raditor fan?

I dont think that could be the reason! I just saw it in the newspaper!

Psst.....i never had a good feeling abt the panjagutta flyover, though it tempts one to rip and cornor nicly! most of the bike and cas do well abv 80kmph on this flyover! This was the flyover which came crashing down and claimed over 7lives when it was being constucted!

                            yep...
ive heard that some ppl use to use the vents(???) on the side of the fairing to store stuffs! that had caused some R15's to blow up!YAMAHA then started to fit a Mesh to prevent this...wonder what happened here!

btw there seems to be a burnt cloth lying on the road!
