    Personally even I'm tired of these so called limited editions/special edition bikes by Honda/Yamaha etc now with just cosmetic upgrades..

    Cosmetic upgrades are good to keep the product fresh...FZ has been a successful product,istead of having the same colors around they bring something diff.

      we need a new Gfx award segment.. yamaha and hero honda are fighting hard for it.!!

      yamaha is company with so much of potential.. but i fail to understand their current approach towards the Indian Biking Segment.!!

            I booked mine yesterday! The news came a week ago (rather leaked eh?), we have seen pics floating around. The limited edition costs Rs.78,500/- on road in Chennai (Rs.3000 more for the LE, other wise its Rs.75,500!). The 'Midnight Special' has kick starter, that just to justify the 3k extra price. The dealer informed me the kick starter alone costs Rs.2,800! So 3k more than the original pricing sounds ok to me!

              the kicker will be standard across all models soon ,india is the only market the kicker is not present ,
              yamaha should make a new shift lever for the fz instead of these stupid limited editions , the lever links are exposed and dust and grease makes the shifting hard

                Looks good to me, but I wish the calipers could've been gold coloured instead of the entire alloy wheels.

                @iVinay - So you finally settled for FZ is it? Good choice. Any reason why you rejected R15?

                  Yup! I've settled down with FZ I didn't reject R15, I still have a great respect for one of the current best Indian bike. I plan to use FZ for a year or two than move to Superbikes when there more choices available. I'll be commuting within city limits and this limited edition both made me to pick FZ!

                      FZ-S Night light Edition
                      FZ-S Diwali Edition

                        Saw this bike at a showroom in Bangalore 10 days back. The bike looks hot in gold, in flesh.

                        The kick starter looks like like a locally fabricated one! Really ugly in shape.
                        I personally think the golden alloys justify the higher price, more than the kick-starter..
