I hope it comes with good financing options as having so much cash would be difficult for me atleast.
Bussan Auto Finance is the one of the better Finance Scams running in the country.... Its Yamahas 'partner of sorts'

So if the bike comes to India, it sure will be financed

The one being discussed here is the FZ1 not FZ8.

The FZ-1N looks great. Both bikes look like bigger siblings of the existing variants here (the fazer and the FZ) so i guess it wouldnt demand any unnecessary attention from the regular crowd. Throw in a bunch of biking enthusiasts and the bike will get mobbed from all sides.

For those interested in finance options, it's always better to explore options outside the dealership too. Sometimes dealer finance options turn out more expensive.

Nationalized banks such as SBI, etc, offer loans for imported vehicles upto 25 lacs (depends on many factors though). check with the bank for more details on how to own your dream machine.

Well, the inline "gzzzing" noise will definitely attract the crowd for sure.

Really? This is a news to me. I was under the impression that the manufacturer ties up only with certain banks & only those banks which have tied up provides the finances. Like ICICI for HD etc.

But one thing for sure, even if a 250R is used for office rides everyday, this one needs way too deep pockets!!!

hdfc is another bank which offers "2 wheeler loans" for these kinda bikes.

Many a folks here have already availed of HDFC loans

I am in France right now. I see a lot of FZs here. There is also a very good Yamaha showroom near my place. And the bike is very good! A lot of riders here like sport tourers and scooters. The most number of bikes i see here are Z1000s followed by FZs and then Bandits.

FZ should definitely come to India.

20 Valve DOHC with 150 ps motor is a steal at this price .

I hope it comes at this price , will kill the Bandit , CB and Duc !

The FZ1 is confirmed for December at around 9L ex-showroom. Not sure of EXACT figure but it is coming...that much is certain. We will be getting the fully faired version...not the naked. Yes it is a lot to pay for a motorcycle but it will end up under 10L on the road and I think that is a good deal given the options we have today. I expect it to undercut the CB1000R by 50-75k INR.

Good bike for the rider who wants a bit of everything without the fugliness and fit/finish of the bandit. I maintain that of ALL the CBU options, Yamaha seems to have the least annoying after sales support. I guess that makes it the best bet?

oh and for the potential FAZER 1 buyers, note that a full fairing is an official accessory for it from YAMAHA.
