      Yamaha launches FZ1 priced at Rs 8.7 lakh

      Yamaha Motor India has unveiled the 998cc FZ1, a premium one liter bike priced at Rs. 8.70 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
      Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO& managing director of Yamaha India said that the country is one of the key markets for Yamaha and it has been constantly shifting gears to transform the market from utility to pleasure & lifestyle. He added that Yamaha offers innovative designs, sporty looks and premium features across its range as part of its strategy to give consumers a new thrill in biking.

        In some articles its only written as the FZ1, and in some articles its written as Naked... God knows which one is priced at 8.7L....

          The FZ1N (Naked) is coming to India. No shield/windscreen - this is the fully naked bike.

          Ex Showroom - 8.5L

          First Lot of bikes is SOLD OUT. First lot of bikes is arriving on 22nd for Customer Deliveries.

          Second lot coming on Jan 25th. Bookings open for 2nd Lot.

          NO ABS...not even as an option. ABS model costs approx 2L more (includes other fitments and upgrades also over the India spec model).

            That is a very good news and a big relief!

            Perhaps we will have fully faired inline-4 600s soon!

                    Coming in CBU. Yamaha has no plans of CKD/SKD at this point.

                        Do you have an idea if the semi faired one could come to India, that pitted against the Bandit would be neat. Also makes a lot of sense for the touring types!

                          Hi Satyen - just heard that a few bikes will be in the showroom. These are customer bikes but we can take a look at them as they will be there for a few days until RTO procedures are taken care of.


                          DK - Seat height will be comfortable for average riders.
