According to my dealer only Three bikes have been given in Mumbai.
The bike in Vihaan Honda is black, there is red one in Malad and Silver one in Navi Mumbai.

Had called up Sapphire Honda, Bangalore sometime back.
They said they'll be getting the bikes around 15th April only.

And deliveries will start immediately after that. The bikes are to be dispatched from Gurgaon on 8th of April, and it takes around 7 days to reach Bangalore. It might reach early also, but date of dispatch is 8th. They are getting 30 bikes in the first lot. And as of today, they have 44 bookings.

And he gave me one more bad news too.

He said there'll be an increase of 1.5k to 2k in the on-road prices. This is because of the increase in VAT in Karnataka (from 1 to 2 per cent). It will be effective from 1st April. So the Std might cost 1.5k more and ABS might cost 2k more.

Bangalore already has the highest On-Road and Ex-showroom price and now this!!!

Not sure on the Name of the showroom, but his info of red CBR is malad proved right so there must be a Silver one in Navi Mumbai.

Stig are they giving test rides now? I mean if they are giving then I will come with you. Can you confirm this? The guys at Kurla are nuts with no info about current status of CBR

So can you contact that dealer in Thane (Who gave u a test ride) and ask if test rides have begun or not.

Also to @All: I never took a test ride of any vehicle, so what do you have to do to get a test ride?

Thanks for the update. Thats bad news mate which means we get to see the CBR only after 3 weeks from now whereas Mumbai showrooms have already received it.

(riding with a pondicherry or any other state's number plate is not illegal afaik)

Even I was thinking same ...I called up the Pondicherry Showroom today. They said the on-road price in Pondicherry is Rs.1,54,329. When told that on the site its mentioned as 1.36 ..the guy said he doesnt know about it

Hi all!
So this is my first post on xbhp but i have read all the 280 odd pages so that shows my interest in the bike! I am an avid biker but since my dad sold our CD 100 4 years back, i have to contend myself by riding avenger in goa or my friends bike.
But now finally im gna get the CBR.
I am from Bangalore, and all dealers I have been calling are saying different days, though from what I heard last was that they will start selling it from April 11th, but it still hasnt come in any of the showrooms. And the price announced was 1.46 with the launch so I dont see what the confusion is about.
I am sure this has been discussed but still, do u guys really think that cbr250r is worthy of the price when compared to 220/zmr in terms of mileage and long term handling?

guys, i got a call from the dealer...delivery on 7th or 8th april...on road price 1.82 lakhs ABS...I asked for a color change...he said hez getting 10 bikes shipped in one week...majority red it seems....I booked from kochi muthoot honda...i am number 4 in the list...

1) CBR 250R is an international bike.
2) ZMR/P220 are around 220cc while CBR is 250cc
3) We all know the bigger the engine, the lesser the mileage

4) If its not worth of 1.64L On Road then why do people pay around 3.2L
for Ninja? Its the cost you have to pay to keep up with your passion for
biking.

Hello Achin welcome to xbhp

To answer your question its a definite yes considering it is Honda and is well known for its smoothness. Also its a worldwide model so the quality of parts will be top notch and definitely the engine is revolutionary. All this said only by reading and viewing videos. The definite answer we will get only after a test ride. According to reports it might be around 5-8 kmpl lower than the 220/zmr

ah 5-8 kmpl is good enough. Yeah i know the bike is awesome and fcourse bigger engine more consumption but higher delivery, but i was jst a lill worried coz dad's gettin me the bike but the petrol's frm my pocket

N btw, ny set date and showroom when i can see the bike in blore? Ny leads on that? though i saw that one pic and the bike looks sweeeeeeeeet
