  • New Royal Enfield Fury

    Source : MCN

The new bike is based on the fuel-injected Electra and features twin silencers, wide western-style handlebars, digital clocks, flat-track style glass fibre seat, a chrome headlight and chrome indicators.

According to the official press release the Fury will “appeal to a younger and more image-conscious customer base” than any other Enfield model.

Pricing and availability will be announced at Motorcycle Live (stand R510), which opens on 27th November 2010.

Now there's a bike with an identity crisis if I ever saw one.

      My personal opinion

Looks like a hotchpotch of different parts put together to try and make a new product. Pretty unsuccessfully at that. The tank, side panels and, of course, engine block, all look solid as a tank while the handle bars, fibre seat and weird headlight all look like they were designed for a motorcross bike - one that is about half the size. Even the logo 'FURY' is loud and garish compared to the old-school class of the Royal Enfield typeface. And is that a single exhaust port that branches off into two?? How does that help??

I'll wait to read about performance before I completely damn it but, even if its a great performer, I think Enfield could've hired a half-decent designer and created an entirely new frame and body, even if they're using the same engine.

Perhaps RE should write to Saurabh of Sans and ask for his expertise. I personally think his attempt was infinitely better - Project-Sans Mcqueen - Page 3 - Team-BHP

Honestly speaking, Did not like the design a bit. RE is known for it's Macho appeal and this is not at all Macho or sturdy.
                A thumbs down from me.

I suspect, they tried the old cafe racer look. But, very poorly executed...

It almost looks like a locally done wacky mod job. Not appealing to the eye at all.

what do you guys think of it as a performer???
i think engine is quite high capacity maybe a 500
do you guyz think it will set new benchmark on the Indian performance bike scheme?

Very poor... Mixture of so many models. The engine is UCE and one cannot expect much from these engines compared to CI engine!!!!
