Hopefully this spells for proper HONDAs commin to our shores and Hero can cater to all the spelendour, cd100 segment and get on with making bikes that help riders pulls hats outta thunderstorms.

Because "growth" is sheer numbers and not innovation. Expect more stunning graphics and effeminate names moving forward

The earlier HH JV terms did not permit any R&D activities (tech would solely be supplied by Honda). So, the residual company (Hero) does not have any culture of innnovation or research. That would take ages to overcome.

by the way, what do you guys think are the chances of Hero tying up with another international manufacturer (Kawasaki, maybe)?

Though its a far fetched idea, hope that this fallout does not go the way Kinetic Honda did. Kinetic died and Honda replaced it completely.

Another reason for Kinetic's death was that the scooter market simply vanished...

                    Far fetched
I would think it to be a logical step than to try your hand at R&D (when you have no exp). Also, take into consideration that they would not like to concede market share in the >125cc (more profitable) segment...

I don't think that will happen apart from what is announced already (CBR 250R).

Separation from Hero Group has no relation to Honda launching bigger/ meaningful bikes...
I doubt they would launch anything "performance oriented" more than CBR 250R in the next 2 years... Would they want to threaten CBR 250R themselves? No, I don't think so...

Hmm I meant they ll be more focussd now on their own business. I hope the BR150 comes too around the same price as the R15, I am just thinkin as an enthusiast HONDA and YAMAHA both 150 cc Preoduction bikes. It will be awesome.

Vanished?? Its the very same honda that picked up every single customer Kinetic had. I recall having gone to Pune many years back (about 10 years I guess, not sure) and on the roads, all I could see was Kinetic Honda. Pune was a very strong fort for Kinetic Honda. I again went to Pune 2-3 years later and to my utter surprise, I could not spot a Kinetic and there was Activa everywhere. In fact, my uncle there sold his Kinetic Honda to buy Activa even though Kinetic 4x (was tht the name?) was still in market.

Hope Hero does not go through same fate.

So the 150-250 cc sector is gonna be fully yamahas or hondas....tats cool

The question is wat will happen to the legendary Hero Honda reliability ??.

Will they continue to get honda tech.?.Its not the price tats the concern..Its the fact that Honda may be reluctant to give the tech to its competitor...
