  • i gotta admit this
I have absolutely no hope for Suzuki in India looking at their commuter focussed bike market.
With that said, having taken a ride on the GS150R(even though 150 aint my league and where i consider the R15 to be the king of the league) i was dumbstruck with how crusing can be done at highspeeds effortlessly on the bangalore-Mysore road and with very little vibrations(really takes the cake here from the King aswell) and the engine is just buttersmooth. I can vouch for how smooth the bike is/was right there.
But the same cant be said for the other bikes from the stable.
I really think its hightime suzuki get into the performance bike segment soon before all the other manufacturers take away the entry level segment.

This bike however doesnt look to be of my taste. Looks more of a commuter bike than anything else and can easily get unnoticed amongst its rival 250s
Hope the performance does the job for it
    Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

    • The gs150 definitely needs some weight loss ...at 149 kg it's too heavy, yeah it's refined (obviously, as it's not bajaj or TVS)

Its weight gives it the stability at high speeds which is a very good thing.

I agree 100% with all this! Even the gearbox is melted butter smooth.
But the braking is horrible, even the handling is sometimes scary.

Rear brake needs to be over tightened to be effective.........but this has been resolved on the new batch of 2012 GS150Rs

Very similar to the Pulsar 220F.

Even with its weight.........it does great,it has enough torque to support that weight at low end well- this comes from a 5 ft 3 inch rider like me who have used the GS150R for 12000kms in daily bumper to bumper traffic and as well as vast highways and is not disappointed.

Now coming back to the GW250 discussion :
I think GW250 needs to look like this to get the attention more :

Though I feel, a muscular tank is more than enough for naked bikes and it can do well without a full fleged engine cover !!!

                  • The design of the bike good being a descendant of the B-King, but the quality of parts look too plasticy. They need to use some that atleast looks more premium to attract customers. And it would be great to see colour schemes similar to the FZ-1 on this bike instead of dull monotonous colours.

However suzuki bikes are all about the quality of the ride. Have been riding the GS150R for quite sometime and am still in love with it. If this bike is launched before its too late with some visual changes, it can steal all potential CBR250R buyers just like the GS150R has been doing to Unicorn buyers.

@Mach50- Is that last image a modified pulsar or some other bike with the pulsar HL??

In today's world, quotes don't matter. Quotas do!

Yes........that design is true indication of Suzuki's own GSXR lineage and now the GSR lineage too.
Even the headlight belongs to that lineage, though people call it Pulsar like looking or ZMR like looking. But if one notices carefully and compares with any GSXR like 600,750 or 1000.........the difference would become pronounced.

Yes.........its the handlebar of Pulsar 180 DTSi UG3- this low set handlebar allows better riding control and high speed speed behaviour than the high stock handlebar.

                      • I don't think launching this bike is a smart idea. Suzuki at this point of time has to rebuild its brand from grounds up. The last suzuki bike i took seriously was the shogun (and the access). What they need right now is a full-faired mass sportsbike like the r15. Today this i think is the only segment that would get suzuki noticed.
Why is Suzuki not launching a baby gsxr(150/250). I mean they have a good scooter, decent commuters and the best import lineup(sbk, tourer, cruiser, hypersports bike) in India.
Now wouldn't a mini supersport make the lineup complete. Also the vstroms, sv, gladius 650s would definitely be good options for india. When can we have a lineup like this Suzuki GB Motorcycles/ATVs: On Road Range

Suzuki believe me when i say there are people who LOVE Suzuki, don't want Rizla suzuki to quit motogp and have gsxrs as their dream bike.

You have the potential just f******

echo every word of yours. another dumb company sitting on their lazy as$es is HMSI. seems they are so "contempt", having launched a 250 cc bike with spare parts issue and a 150cc bike which commands 10 months waiting period. come on.. geta life fellas!!

u gotto bring the 600s nd i dont mean the race bred CBR series, but the more sober CB or CBF series.
                          Ride safe..wear helmet.
Love trance..? you gotta listen to this

The bike is wide but may not be tall like original Bking and Hayabusa.

That's a nice sounding twin cylinder. Wonder why can't Suzuki package it with good styling.

The styling of the GW250 doesn't appeal that much.

                              • Hi All,

Closely read each and every word of this thread.
Following are my observations after having a discussions with some of the people inside suzuki:
1.) Suzuki will reveal its product plan in 2012 Auto Expo and we might see a Launch of 250 cc bike (may be)...
2.) We might see a brand new 100-125 cc bike in first quarter of 2012.
3.) More superbikes will be launced. feasibility studies are underway.. (that means we might see a 600-750cc bike)..

A very good year 2012 for bikers, so fill up ur purses and stop spending money here and there......
