Nothing great abt it..its looks fast on paper, but is not !!!! And I can prove it, get in a 180 DTSi against a Karizma on a 1-on-1 drag, and see for urself, then b it 0-60, 0-100, or even 0-whatever the top speed of ur 180 would b.

And what r Bajaj trying to do ? All they can do is copy copy and copy. Copied the head-lamp concept from Karizma by giving in 2 pilots and one roundish head lamp, a visor shape of the R1/R6, and the bikini fairing of a CBZ ?

And what abt stability ?????? Hero Honda still rules.

Hey RASH... Why r u so angry with these bajaj guys ya... Look after all one has to improve so that they can stay in the market where the customer is the king.. I think u r a die hard fan of HH, and can't listen anything rude abt HH. Although to a certain extent u r rite.... When Bajaj says that except the Crank Pin everything is built in-house at Pune, they shouldn't copy and paste anyone else's design. Can't they design a particular bikini fairing on their own. I agree that they shouldn't adopt any of karizma's styling... Well, but still i haven't seen the pics yet, but i hope bajaj does a good job this time, to give a run for HH. But Rash, just think.. Bajaj themselves have designed an engine, which many of us like ya... forget about the styling... Its certianly not as good as the CBZ also, but in terms of performance, its very good, and u will have to congratulate those guys who built it here in Pune, and not in NOIDA, where Technology, expertise, styling, looks, materials, except the stability is adopted from HONDA (Hero Honda's Father).
Cant HH still build a bike on their own, when they can build cycles ?

plz note tht even karishma has copied and can be called cheap but expensive.performence wise if bhp of pulsar 180 (new)is same it will be diff.for it to be faster by just optimising ignition etc.looks r subjective too.

Ok guys, sorry for any harsh comments I may have made against Bajaj. No hard feelings.

Anyway, for all those who don't have the copy of overdrive, I'll try and post the pics tonight.

The head lamp is clear-lens type. Its smaller than that of the Karizma, but looks a bit similar. Its more rounded, and looks like a Passion / Freedom headlam from the side view. Its got two pilots in the corners like the Karizma, but pulled back a lot, as if placed in two deep grooves. The headlamp in roundish. Fortunately nothing like the F***ed up Aspire. Somehow I feel that the old look with the round headlamp was better, it surely does'nt look "MALE" now. The exhaust is now longer, till the edge of the wheel. Clear type tail and a small lamp for the no. plate.

The power of the Pulsars have also increased. The 150 now produces 13bhp and the 180 produces 16bhp. Acceleration times have also bettered with 0-90 in 10.49s.

Stability is better but still not the best, still is nervous in the cornering deparment as earlier. And the clutch which is now claimed to b better is still creating a few hiccups.

OD and Adil does it again ... New p180 0-60 in 4.2 and 128 true top speed. Remember that their test rider "Aspi" is 90kg as stated in their last issue. Also the bikes they have are not properly runin.

So if a 90kg rider can do get those figures ... a 60kg rider after proper runin should be able to better them ... say 0-60 in 4sec and 130top speed

Was just thinking that they claim 0-60 for fiero as 7.2 sec and new p180 as 4.2 ... me also 90kg ... so will "Aspi" OR "Adil" be interested to take this open challange from my side. [xx(]

I'll ride on fiero and he on new p180. I'll start 3sec ahead of him and then he either beats me or finish with me at 60 mark ... if he fails to do that then they should appologize in public about the wild claims they make. If I'm proved wrong then I'll apologize to them.

nav don't be childish,if before figure was 5 sec,with changes in caburation and timing a few milliseconds can be shaved easily.anyways all r biased,some to karishma,some to pulsar.as for rider weight,more critical in quarter mile where engine performs peak load.

sorry for sounding childish ... but I'm frustrated of such wild claims made by auto mag ... which some fool reads and then don't even listen to other and try to use their minds ... I'm speaking in context of Esteem vs RD debat .. that guy is still not understanding ... eveytime I say ne thing to him ... he just copy pastes some figures from a road test.

So now as soon as he gets used to the car I'm gonna take a bike and screw him. [xx(]
