This happens evreywhere... From the lowest levels to the highest levels... My wife works in a recruitment agency... and this is what I hear all the time... And that is not always bad... Sometimes when a person gets into a new environment his thinking etc do change ad weird ideas which no one knew existed come forth... Same from a companies perspective... When a mind which hasnt been working in the project or the company gets bits of fresh culture into the existing mindsets many things change...Originally posted by princesirohi View Post
I agree about experience but not completely... Experience is very necessary but it isnt the only thing.. I feel HH wont really benefit much by hiring that guy as they desperately need some young minds to understand the youth market...Originally posted by dushyant123 View Post"stay hungry, stay foolish."
To those who have attitude... My middle finger salutes you...!

ROFLMAO to what that Bajaj official said. Hero needs some "Retired" uncles to re-design there passions and splendors.if they want to hire 63 year olds from us, we will provide a list," said a senior Bajaj Auto official.Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

Because Bajaj has recruited guys from Yamaha and HONDA and places you would want to know... (Suzuki, you kidding me?)Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostBut why only Bajaj and TVS? Why not Yamaha or Suzuki?
What a useless thread.... world over in different industries people recruit experts from various streams to shape up themselves. Heck our cricket coach is a South African!
Bashing Hero Honda seems to be the in thing amongst posers!
- I know a 60 year old consultant working with my employer. His age has got nothing to do with the kind of experience he brings into the organisation. For somebody who said that that old a man cant work 12 hours a day. He doesnt need to. Get out of the factory mentality! Sooner the better for you.
The article names a Bajaj ex employee! That is a cheap potshot at him. If I were him, I would have sued the balls off from PR managers nut sack!Last edited by satyenpoojary; 03-19-2011, 06:19 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

Hero is looking for well industrial experienced people to start off their R & D team.
Obviously the experience resource have to come from other auto majors in the market.
thats the right move only, nothing wrong in it.....

He is recruited at a senior level (consultant to be precise), not at factory level where you do all the assemblingOriginally posted by dushyant123 View Postdo you expect 60+ yr olds to work 12 hrs a day? And be more creative/efficient than a 23 yr old guy??
Experience is over-rated.
HH needs to realize old machines can not build new technologies....

Correct. Can not agree more to what you have said. Bashing HH just for the sake of it, is not good and gives an impression of being loggedin in one of those Orkut communities.Originally posted by satyenpoojary View PostBecause Bajaj has recruited guys from Yamaha and HONDA and places you would want to know... HH, if the news is true is doing the right thing. And to set up a successful R&D Team you need a right mix of Experienced and new people.
Bajaj too has poached a lot of people from rival group....Its a part of the business. People who do not agree please ask yourself, will you not move to a rival company, if you are offered substantial raise along with a good profile?
What different does that make if you decide to move out or if you are approached by a rival company?

seems like the discussion is getting hotter and hotter.......chill guys we are neither from HH nor from bajaj..........
and its better if we are not too harsh in our comments........
no poser here is bashing HH......... HH was not doing much active R&D and all of a sudden when Honda pulled out of alliance, it has started frantic searching for talent..........if only HH had done this years ago.......today it would have been in a much better position to handle things.
our dicussions here anyway will not have any impact either on HH or bajaj or for that matter any organization.........so lets chill, wait and watch......for whats in store for us bikers in the comming year. lets hope for the best.............

truth behind hero honda success
honda is the truth behind hero honda's success after when hero and honda split hero will find very difficult to upgrade there bikes technically coz it was fully depended on honda, hero just designs the stickers. from now on i don't think we should expect any new technological upgrade of existing bikes or new refined engine bikes who meets latest technical aspects just few sticker changes. this year there might be no new launches from hero honda
. sad but true......

Why isnt your statement harsh and mine\ours is?Originally posted by princesirohi View Postand its better if we are not too harsh in our comments........
I didnt call you a poser, I said its a in thing amongst poser to bash. Were you bashing HH. Do you consider yourself a poser? If either of the answers are yes, then they are your answers not mine.Originally posted by princesirohi View Postno poser here is bashing HH......... HH wasnt into R&D is the crap that the media feeds us. Yes they were limited, and Ofcourse they were NOT allowed to invest into it either due to a stubborn Honda. The same applied to TVS - Suzuki, and Kawasaki - Bajaj... they bloomed when they split... Hero Honda on the other hand was a major success, they defined the Indian biking scenario (good or bad is subjective)
THey were doing GREAT! and hence didnt need to split. Like they say, you win some and you lose some, in that process Hero lost on not being able to build a R&D facility. So bottom line there wasnt a need to do so, even today there isnt. Its far more easier for HH to simply buy out a bigger brand and survive longer than what Bajaj+TVS would ever do... they are that strong a group!
Our discussions here does impact, they add to the crap that the PR already dishes out, they create a image in front of noobs, like this 4-posts-in-recent-months guy quoted belowOriginally posted by princesirohi View Postour dicussions here anyway will not have any impact either on HH or bajaj or for that matter any organization.........so lets chill, wait and watch......for whats in store for us bikers in the comming year. lets hope for the best.............

I just wanted someone to say that! Read this again now, just the bold lines
A senior official takes potshots on people who have served Bajaj for a majority of their lives. In Public domain. In a freaking newspaper! Sad, isnt it?Bracing itself to life beyond Honda, the world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero Honda, has started developing its own research and development (R&D) wing in right earnest by snaring key personnel from rivals Bajaj Auto and TVS. Hero recently appointed long-term Bajaj veteran T M Bala raman at a senior level in its R&D division.
Balaraman had retired from Bajaj 2-3 years back but the company had kept him on the rolls as a part timer in an advisory role. Hero Honda is also trying to get hold of several R&D personnel from Bajaj and TVS across the hierarchy.
The firm does not have a full fledged R&D capabilities like Bajaj and TVS and has been merely involved in increasing localisation of mobikes through component sourcing, making finished products out of the designs prepared by Honda Motor or minor tweaking and refreshing existing products.
"It is not that we have no experience in R&D at all as we have been converting Honda's designs into full fledged motorcycles," said Ravi Sud, chief finance officer, HHML. "We know how to make mobikes, but do not have design capabilities. We will develop that as well."
So far, Bajaj and TVS are not too worried with the new found poaching instincts in their arch rival. "I cant comment on the buzz doing the rounds, but if they want to hire 63 year olds from us, we will provide a list," said a senior Bajaj Auto official.
Hero Honda is also investing towards creating a new brand identity for itself for which it has hired international brand specialist Wolff Olins.Last edited by satyenpoojary; 03-21-2011, 01:48 PM.Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more
