May be they don't want to face bad quality issues as reported about CBR ... Just kidding ... Its true ... manufacturers must now launch all the quarter litres and not make us wait anymore .... More delay may be their loss as honda will be the only one giving 250cc at affordable price till then

Good thing here is, the quarter liter class is growing fast in India. (but where the heck is Yamaha..? )

Bad thing is, Hyosung isn't bringing the naked Comet back.
Why..? Is it coz the CBR is faired..?

UPDATE: It seems company sources from Garware spoke to some journalists clearly about its plans for launching the GT 250R. We can expect it around August-September now.

It is interesting to note that Garware managed to sell 611 bikes last financial year, while their target was firstly 2000 units, and later rectified mid-year to 1200 units IIRC. Sadly, Garware must have understood that its not easy to fight the "Green" Giant, all factors sustained.

Also, two more dealerships will be shortly launched at Guwahati and Aizwal in the north-east.

seems like lot of contradicting statements .. in most of the other news portals .. its said to be as Next month [May] .. while booking soon start this month end.
I still say 611 is good number

i would like to reproduce a part of my post on other thread, just don't get angry if you see similar post in two threads, i feel it should be posted in this thread.--

while all the comparisons between hyosung, honda & kawacker have different opinions, it can be sumed up as--

Looks:- While Honda CBR250 and Ninja250 are similr sized, Hyosung GT250R is much bigger and therefore looks like a bigger CC bike. CBR250's design looks more futuristic and in line with current trend, while Ninja looks dated and old design. so looks wise it is -
            1. Hyosung GT250R
            2. Honda CBR250R
            3. Kawasaki Ninja250
Fit & Finish:- The fit & finish of Hyosung is defintely not at par with CBR or Ninja. Gaps in fairing panels and exposed electronics among others make it lowest in fit and finish. In my opinion the rest two are almost equal. so that makes-
            1. CBR250 & Ninja250
            2. Hyosung 250
Features and gadgetry:- Lack of any optional features makes Ninja the last among three and coupled with a analog instrument cluster makes it look like something from last decade. Hyosung on the other hand has a comprehensive list of features apart from digital speedo, like- three-position adjustable rearsets, a reach-adjustable front brake lever, a brightness-adjustable digital dash, an inverted fork, dual front disc brakes. this makes it top the list. CBR stands in-between with digital dash and optional ABS.
            1. Hyosung 250
            2. CBR 250
            3. Ninja 250
Ride and Comfort:- Hyosung 250 has an archetypal attack type riding stance with clip-on handle bars too far makes its stance more sportier then any other, couple with a bit cramped leg space and widest body makes it least comfortable of the three. however if you want that big bike feel with sporty and most forward inclined stance, go for it. CBR is the most comfortable of the lot with easy to reach handle bars and foot peg position coupled with a suspension set-up which is a bit on soft side, so even bad roads is not a problem. most comfy for long tours. Ninja 250 also has a similar stance as CBR250 but suspension set-up is inclined towards harder, making it a bit a bit back-breaking on broken roads. now the wind protection factor, because of a racing attack type of riding stance in hyosung, you are well protected from wind blast at high speeds by windsheild, this is not the case in CBR250 or Ninja250 wherein you have to tuck-in to benifit from windshield. however protection from wind blast is not enough to make Hyosung fare any better, it still is at the bottom of list due to riding stance.
            1. CBR 250
            2. Ninja 250
            3. Hyosung 250
Handling:- Again, due to heavy weight, longest wheelbase and widest body (riders legs are spread too wide), Hyosung comes last in handling department.

Among the rest two i.e. CBR 250 and Ninja 250, different online reviews have different opinions, some feel both are equal some feel CBR is better, while most feel kwacker is better. so, i will go with what most people feel, coupled with the fact Ninja also have a hard suspension set-up compared to CBR, makes Ninja top the chart in handling department. however CBR comes a close second. One thing to note is due to its longest wheelbase, more weight coupled with riding stance, hyosung is most stable on highway in a straight line at high speeds and also in cross-winds. however a sudden pothole encoutered on stright line at high speeds unsettles the hyosung's line a little bit more than other two.
            1. Ninja 250
            2. CBR 250
            3. Hyosung 250
Engine Refinement & Vibrations:- Ninja 250 tops the chart with its age old, robust, tried and tested and proven engine. CBR's single cylinder is obviously a bit more vibey than ninja's inline-twin. Hyosung with a notchy gearbox comes last. Hyosung also does not have water-cooled enigine, which also means less efficient dessipation of heat, which may, i repeat MAY affect engine life and reliability.
            1. Ninja 250
            2. CBR 250
            3. Hyosung 250
            Fuel Efficiency:-
            1. CBR250
            2. Hyosung 250
            3. Ninja 250
Brakes:- Inspite of having a dual-disk brakes upfront, Hyosung lacks bite and feel, both, making it last in the rankings, Ninja brakes are sharp and efficient. CBR makes it quite interesting with ABS thrown in as optional. so ranking are -
            1. CBR 250 ABS
            2. Ninja 250
            3. CBR 250 STD
            4. Hyosung 250
Power & Performance:- All the bikes have different charecters here, with Ninja & Hyosung having somewhat similar manners, while CBR with its single cyliner layout is different than other two. Ninja makes most power in terms of BHP and least torque while CBR makes most torque and least power whereas Hyosung stands in between both in terms of power and torque. obviously due to its torque CBR is very strong in low and mid range, a slight twist of wrist sends it shooting ahead at traffic lights, it is strong in low and midrange but looses out in top -end. Ninja 250 with its more power and less torque is strong in top-end and the rider has to do some effort in low and midrange to make it sprint, obviously due to low torque figures and also the fact that both peak torque and peak power is available at higher RPM's, so it means it requires some effort on throttle and clutch to make it sprint in low and mid range, but if you take the effort it will obey you without any fuss, just keep the revs high. hyosung also has a similar character its V-twin engine is more happy at high RPM's than low RPM's and to meet the performance of other two bikes in low and midrange, it requires a lot of throttle movement, but if you do it, it will follow your commands. in top-end or highway crusing mode, the twin cylinder engines of Hyosung and Ninja easily outperforms the CBR with Ninja winning it and Hyosung coming second. at speeds more than say 115KMPH, CBR's power delivery starts to taper out and it feels like engine is overworked, whereas Hyosung 250 and Ninja250 is happy even at speeds of 130-140 KMPH. obviously Ninja250 tops in top speed chart with Hyosung 250 coming second and CBR last. the performance category ratings will be divided into two sub-categories-

Low and Mid range:- Although all the bikes post similar 0-60 KMPH figures with only a difference of 0.2 to 0.4 secs, and although Ninja is quickest of the lot with just a fraction of second, still it comes second because of the fact that it requires lot of revving and effort on clutch, throttle and gear levers, while CBR is so effortless that you won't feel it, whereas Hyosung with its heavy weight comes last-
            1. CBR250
            2. Ninja250
            3. Hyosung 250
Top-end:- The ninja is clearly a winner here with its high rev-limit and highest top-speed coupled with in-line twin cylinder layout that churns max power and max torque at much higher RPM's. Hyosung with its V-twin engine comes second with its high revving engine thats happy at higher RPM's. obviously CBR with its single cylinder layout, comes last as it feels overworked at high speeds and has a lesser top-speed compared to other two. Again it should be kept in mind that 0-100 KMPH figures of all these bikes are within 0.9 secs of each other.
            1. Ninja250
            2. Hyosung 250
            3. CBR 250
            Service Network:-
            1. CBR 250 & Ninja 250
            2. Hyosung 250
            Spare Part Costs:-
            1. CBR 250 (Cheapest)
            2. Hyosung 250
            3. Ninja 250 (Costliest)
Above is my opinion based on online reviews and comparisons.
