There was a accord here . I dont know when it did 0 - 100km/hr in 5 secs. I think it was around 8 - 10secs as Octavia Vrs used to blow the hell out of poor accordOriginally posted by xionite View Post@prasoon: 5.5L OTR??? or ex-showroom?
a honda accord can do that.
well... almost.
. top-end was sweet though.

Guys, now don't start comparing this with Accord, or maybe Lamborghini Murcielago.
It's like comparing Coolers with Cages!
I just had an agreement with my dad, and he had many queries. I answered them all, except for one- he says if I join a job in another city, where/ how will I keep/ maintain the bike?
I had no answer. If I move from Ajmer to any other city for a good job, what's the bike gonna do and where?
But, If the N is going for 5.5L OTR, I'm gonna go get it anyways. Especially if I shift to Bangalore...
Just hope Bajaj keep the same price, and give great service (which I'm sure they will, given N250's reports).Last edited by Samarth 619; 05-05-2011, 12:56 AM.

Lame & Idiotic question : Is this the 2011 Version ? If so would we get getting the digital speedo? I still like the analogue dials over the digital one's on the Ninja

haha... relax. i didn't say an Accord is a hatchback.Originally posted by xplosid View PostA Honda Accord is not a hatchback buddy..
i was implying that even a "*behemoth" Accord wouldn't be able to beat the GT650R's acceleration.
* (now i'm not saying an Accord is a big car... just that's it's more powerful than a hatchback)
i drive one. it takes over 5.5 seconds.Originally posted by xplosid View PostAnd no.. It can only dream to do a 0-100 kmph in under 4 secs..
and... an Audi A8 wouldn't do 100kmph in under 4 seconds.
i know bud. my post was in jest. hence the "almost"Originally posted by vkuchhal View PostCan Honda accord really do that.. i have my doubts on it... It is not near also
same here... New Bombay Probiking is virtually oblivious of the existence of the Kawasaki 650R.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostNot trying to shoot you down or validate the truth in your post, but i called Gopi, the manager at PBK Blore and he was totally unaware of the 650R's plans. Pointed him to this thread. Hopefully we see the bike here soon and at a competitive price.

As far as i know, OTR stands for On The Road price as in the price the customer has to pay inclusive of the standard and local taxes.Originally posted by shelton_jh View PostNow, what is meant by off the rack in this context?

So I guess the news is officially out now... its true that the distributors have been informed of the launch and orders have been placed...
Also i got a chance to get up close and personal with the 650R day a few days ago.. dont ask where dont ask how... all i can say is that indian RTO guys (or some certification guys) were there as well..
It was good to see the mini-beast and trust me it looks much better in reality...

Agreed that its high! Even the N250 is on the higher side. But beggars can't be choosers!Originally posted by bprags View PostI know, I know thats why I put those .........
. I would still say it is a little on the higher side, I am more interested in knowing the BLR on road price now.
So are you planning one?
Yes, in all probability the N650 is my next bike. But definitely not picking it up this year. Have a few changes coming up on the career front, once that's settled I'd know how soon I can lay my hands on this green meanie!
