Like if yamaha is so good why not buy SZR. But people won't coz they need better looks in FZ or R15. Same with all brands.

And yours is after mine... The most dumbest.

Mentality of some Indians can't be changed...
      2000 - Hero Honda Splendor
      2010 - Pulsar 220
      2012 - Ninja 250R or CBR 250R

        getting pretty smug huh?
Men who still dream of being a pilot or an astronaut are yet to ride a motorcycle.

He said "Honda is perceived as scooters maker" in Indian market. Of course, some news papers tried making it a sensational statement by writing "Honda can only make scooters : Rajiv Bajaj".

haha, poor fellow, even if he feel that way any guy with minimum common sense wont make such a statement in public :P

is it good or bad, its making me nervous

May be they are doing some in depth R&D and trying hard to come up with a path-braking original model :P (I personally feel apache is a little inspired from the pulsar brand)
The last couple of years and the coming couple of years have seen a sudden rise in competition in the indian biking scenario.
I'm guessing TVS wants to wait untill everyone shows their best and then bring a product which is better than the rest(they might take inspiration fron KTM+Pulsar+ninja+CBR and make a hybrid )( Or i might be expecting a bit too much :P )
            Apache 180

TVS has brought a great technology in India,ABS..
TVS has their own R and D,they don't look up to others for engines and technology..And its only 2 years the Apache 180 has come into the market, what about Karizma..After 6 years,HH launched new karizma and that too with a mere power increase of 0.6bhp!!

Rajiv is outspoken and he never shies away from saying what he feels.. I remember reading in one of the auto magazines that when P220 was unveiled in auto expo.. Rajiv went up to Yamaha honchos and told them "you were known as makers of fast & sexy bikes in India, why are you not sticking with that image"

Oh.. the baby duke is getting very good reviews and one of the reviews goes on to say that even KTM's competitors would wish this baby duke success, coz that means it will open up a whole new market for everyone!!

Some how,I feel Apache is inspired by Pulsar, don't know why? I still feel that launching RTR180 was a mistake on TVS' part.. they should have gone with 200cc one, where there is no competition/comparision.

Bajaj can definitely improve parts of pulsars if cost allows to... remember their bikes are always lower priced than competition ... hence low parts quality... you get what you paid for... I feel they should concentrate on technology like twin spar frame, monoshock at the rear etc ... KTM bikes are highly priced (125 cc for Rs 2 lac I guess) hence good quality...
