Interesting... It has a revised, lighter frame, revised steering head, new design exhaust. It is claimed to be 13 pounds lighter. Expect these to be carried over to the revised Daytona.Originally posted by mid View Post

The waiting should end in 2013 or 14. If in 2014, the correct time for me to get myself a gift for going on pension
. But seriously, the Greens and Oranges and Red/Blue/Whites are making inroads into what can be T territory esp for the Bonneville series. I just hpe that Triumph India does not turn out to be a Pyrrihic victory for the company...

This is another example of why I gave up on getting a Tiger. Triumph has pushed back their intro, and now is starting to fudge on their pricing. Further, according to another upthread post, they've put the CKD process on hold due to Joshi's departure, so ultimately they may not even be able to manage the CKD pricing at all, and go the CBU route like Suzuki, Honda, and Yamaha.Originally posted by pp180 View PostBelow is the response I got from Triumph on inquiring for daytona 675.

Sorry, Triumph. I had high hopes, but there's just too much evidence that you don't have your s#it together enough to have any confidence in you.

Triumph To Set Up Plant In Karnataka
July 17, 2012: British manufacturer Triumph Motorcycles and the Karnataka government have signed an MoU under which the company is to set up its plant at Narsapura, 50km east of Bangalore and on the Bangalore-Chennai highway. The state government has sanctioned around 30-40 acres to Triumph to build its facility. According to reliable sources, Triumph has committed an investment of Rs 400 crore to the project and the state government is currently formulating the tax-related and other benefits for Triumph for the near future.

The manufacturer had revealed plans to begin selling its bikes in India via the CKD route but had to put that on the backburner when its India managing director Ashish Joshi put in his papers a few months ago.

Again let me point you to the case of the Ninja siblings... The price is almost the same as the on-road Mumbai (our 250 is 60k cheaper and the 650 is 60k dearer)... Those too are ckd's coming in from Thailand... Triumph has huge a plant in Thailand too, so I am sure they will take the benefits of the FTA with Thailand... The onroad price in UK comes to roughly 7 lacs... Hence, I presume the OTR Mumbai would be +/- 50k on that price...Originally posted by pp180 View PostEven if the price mentioned in UK websites is OTR it's coming out to be 7.39 lac INR in UK.
UK is homeland for triumph so no duties for them, In india add 30% to it.
How can you expect Daytona 675 at 7.5 lac OTR mumbai.?
I would be more than happy if I am proven wrong here as I am waiting for this bike.
This is just adding 2 + 2 on my part... Please don't shoot me...
p.s.: sorry for the late reply... Don't come here too often...
