      don't mind the naked bit...

it's just the new headlight design that just doesn't seem to go with the rest of the bike.

Waiting waiting if the price tag is within the 1-1.5 bracket 1.5L for a v-Twin is a steal.Yeah the headlight is a bit disappointing, they should have stuck to the older design.Nevertheless its the heart that matters not the hairstyle.

By next year Diwali .. we can strongly expect it to be here ... and i still ready to pay up to 2L for R version provided they maintain current service quality and hospitality [by Garware]

V-twin with Twin disks at front, and killler style and fulfilling the dream of having super-bike [read as common man superbike ]

for Naked version up to 1.7L on road will be very ideal price ... and Oh boy few days back saw an comet [yellow] on road... it looks really amazing on road

hyosung sort of plays dumb launching wrong bikes at wrong times... They launch 250 when market was not ready to accept it...
Now when country is screaming for a 250, they are backing away.. Not that gt650 is bad nor its price and timing,... gt250 before or along with 650 would have made more sense, i really think it would have eaten a big chunk of cbr250 sales(in my opinion)
                    Hyosung bring this baby soooooon...

i don't think it would be wise for hyosung to launch the 250r now. it looks almost identical to the 650r, so the launch of gt250r would result in people choosing ninja 650r over the gt650r. gt250 would be a better option than gt250r for launch IMO, though i would expect its price to be higher than the cbr 250 as gt250 would be imported and the cbr is produced in india.

I disagree, they should launch both, give more choice, the market is more receptive, the 250r is a direct competitor with the Ninja 250R and if priced at 2lakcs would be a great buy and the GT 250 (Comet) at around 1lack 60 would be great, the bike is better, performance wise than the CBR.

Can't see why this would dent the GT650's rep as it's a different category, in the end you buy a bike for it's performance.

Here's my take in their respective category's:

Beginner/Learner bikes (less than 250cc): R15, Apache, Pulsar 220, FZ, etc.....
Advanced learner: Ninja 250R, CBR 250R
                          Intermediate/Advanced: Hyonsung GT650R, Ninja 650R
                          Advanced: CBR1000RR, R1, hayabusa, etc..

As you see, the 2nd and 3rd category have only 2 options each, the GT250/R would both liven up a category, which would also give great sales, especially if the price is right, performance wise it would tuck in just behind the Ninja, value wise it would be considerably ahead of all competition.

Shame there is no 350-400cc segment anymore, unless you count Enfields, that would make things more interesting.
Beware of Bread, don't say I didn't warn you!
More than 98 percent of convicted criminals are bread eaters !
Statistics show that more than 75 % of violent crimes are committed within 24 hours of eating bread !
Bread is known to be extremely addictive. Subjects deprived of bread and given only water, actually begged for bread after just two days !
Bread has been proven to kill. Scientists have now uncovered alarming evidence that 100% of the people who eat bread will eventually die !

Checked with my Hyosung source today, he usually provides some reliable news.

Hyosung is scheduling a mid 2012 release for the R version of GT250 first, followed by the naked version. I was told that the pricing would be very competitive, it would be placed between the CBR250 and the N250R, the naked version of the GT250 is slated for release late 2012 with around 30k deduction from the R version. A naked version of the GT650 is also expected to arrive early 2012 with an Ex-showroom price around 4.3L.

                            Cheers!

Its same as the difference between an R6 and an R1. Almost no one has their dream bike to be a 600/650cc steed, Its quite likely to be a liter bike. The others to whom this statement is not applicable are gifted.

A true biker never stops chasing his dream bike till he gets it no matter what the market does to it...
