Modified exhausts illegal now in Delhi!
The public ad says that it is illegal to have no silencer or modified silencers in order to gain more sound. Now it remains to be seen how much is this implemented and how will the police decide whether the exhausts is for only show purposes and not done for serious performance upgrades (as per the deductive statement in the ad).

So with Db Killer they don't have an issue right?

Erm,nope,it is actually.Me and my friend were stopped and fined for Race Concepts R15Originally posted by nathanvighnesh View PostNothing in bangalore so far. (I have a joeld' RTR)
But all those people with exhausts for Sound are ruining everything for us performance enthusiasts.

Again, not exactly.Autos have different rules :P when we were stopped and fined I asked the Cop why BULLETS weren't stopped since they are equally loud. His answer was "they are different".So i guess this Rule applies only to modern day vehicles.Originally posted by motor-psycle View PostIf they make this illegal in bangalore then, almost 50% of the autos would be off road.Smoke rubber, not tobacco.

I doubt.Because even with a DB Killer the exhaust is going to be loud, just not as much as a regular FFE.and to a cop or any regular guy,it will still sound loud.Originally posted by riot View PostExhausts with DB killer should not be a problem.
Screw all those posers for this!

so can we dump the exhaust and put in a K&N?
it is not illegal to have an free flow filter?
Actually, even in pune the bikes sounding louder than normal are stopped. I was stoped once for having a free flow exhaust (the sound was of the free flow filter exhaust was stock). the person got confused and double checked the exhaust if it was an after market one. he even started the bike to proove that it was after market but couldnt. maybe he did not understand that its the filter thats making the noise
, so i rode away without the fine.
but yes, the rule is implemented in pune.
of our members from mumbai gang had to remove a joel's free flow exhaust because mamu's used to catch him regularly.Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

Would like to correct. With the DB Killer it is not very loud. I swapped my Joeled FFE yesterday for a new FFE with the DB Killer by Joel. Though acceleration has come down a bit, but the overall performance is still better than the stock bike and the bike is more tractable.
The answer is NO, the FFE with DB Killer does not make loud noise. A bit louder than the Stock, but not loud enough to grab attention.
