People... I just asked a question. I didn't browse the technical specs of the other 125cc bikes. Which I just did.
Isn't power-to-weight ratio a much better stat to realize the true worth of a bike?
Discover 125 : 11ps @ 8000rpm 118Kg
SS125 : 11ps @ 7500rpm 125Kg (with oil & fuel)
YBR125 : 10.88ps @ 7500rpm 126Kg (with oil & fuel)
Stunner : 11bhp @ 8000rpm 128Kg
Shine : 10.3bhp @ 7500rpm 121Kg
Stunner FI : 11.6bhp @ 8000rpm 128Kg
So, considering this, the Shine is the least powered bike, followed by D125 and SS125.
But though the D125 and SS125 make 10.85 bhp, that is around 0.5 bhp less than a stunner, they still weigh ~10Kgs lesser.
Personally, having owned a D125 for 5 yrs, and also having spent considerable time with a Stunner (carb) and the old Gladiator 125, I still feel the Stunner to be a tad underpowered.
I will not talk about my experiences with the Shine.
Obviously the YZF R125 is in a different league altogether.
The Unicorn engine on a Stunner... Now, that's the sign of a good bike.

When did Honda listen to us?
Each time anyone asks me to suggest a bike, first thought : Honda. Then I am zapped back to reality. Honda takes 2 months to deliver. So, ask them to go for a Pulsar or an Apache. And if money permits, they go for the R15.

Yes, Honda is doing a very bad thing by holding back the production of the legendary Unicorn. I don't understand why their bikes are in so much demand. Maybe they have created an artificial gap between the supply and demand to ensure that prices remain high
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
Not just the unicorn. Every Honda bike/scooter has a waiting period.

The new stunner is yet to arrive in chennai but the price is revising upto 1k ie, Current-64k & New price is 65k. The leaf green colored stunner looks good in pics.

Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift, That is why it is called \"Present\".
Out here in Hyderabad and as per reports from a few frnds in Bengaluru, all of them have waiting periods.
And yeah, Activa, Aviator and Twister have a 109cc Engine.

Here in Mumbai, Twister, Stunner and Dazzler are readily available. Other bikes/scooters are not.

Why doesn't HMSI first concentrate on making their bikes available at showrooms instantly and then bother about all these stickers?
Today, no HMSI bike is available at less than 1 month of waiting period. The CBR250R has a wait period of 8 months. Unicorn and Activa, as usual 6 months. The stunner and aviator are hardly seen on the roads, but still command a wait period of 1-4 months.
At my place, one showroom says 15 days while other is ready to provide in 5 days only.
i am sorry but if u check stunner's webpage..it says performance:0-60 in 5.2 seconds? .1 second less then p135? [bajaj claimed] its actually 4.9seconds tested on gps
are u kidding? when i had friendly drag with unicorn and a stunner the unicorn was miles away and much further behind was the stunner! as usual honda performance figures are always wrong and useless
if they were right in karizma's case..it would beaten the p220 [3.8seconds to 60!]
LOL!

This might be true or might not be because i never tested it in case of stunner but the second thing you said about karizma which i tested several times, in 0-60kmph Karizma shoots better but after that P220 starts getting lead.
PS - sorry for OT but wanted to just reply on it.
