It's a mistake. The Aviator and Activa both share the same engine. 109cc.
We know that the Activa and Aviator used to share the same 109cc engine, which claimed more mileage and performance than the 102cc before it.

However, from 2 news links, I got the report that the new Aviator has a 102cc engine. I'm guessing this could be due to:

                1. lesser costs, OR
                2. more tuning on the 102cc engine, resulting in more mileage, lesser weight or some other benefit.

In any case, we know that the 102cc engine is most probably borrowed from Dio, Pleasure, etc.

The older Activa used the 102cc engine. After the facelift (2010 IIRC), they borrowed the 109cc from the Aviator.
The same 102cc Engine is available on the DIO and the HH-Pleasure.

A correction here. First the activa got the facelift & new engine in 2009 (or before). Later the new 109cc engine from activa has been plonked into the new aviator.

Initially the aviator used to come with the same 102cc engine.

Honda has developed a new 125cc 4 stroke Automatic Engine for future scooters... Honda has made this single cylinder, liquid cooled engine more compact and light weight compared to its earlier 125cc engines.
