I am Indonesian, and i ride this bike for commuting. I own the 2010 model, and IMHO its design is much better than this facelift.. People who choose to buy Kawasaki Ninja 150 RR was surely ignore the old bodywork for its 30PS.
2 strokes surely give big power, its performance is on par with Ninja 250, some says even better. but the big power will be paid with unfriendly mileage though (25km/l in standard).

Whether its mod or not. It certainly does not look "cheap mod" like we see locally. Take a look at the frame, the panels, they all fit perfectly. Besides it probably not a mod job as the tires are thin. A mod job taken this far almost always has fat tires, whatever the cc. If its mod, then its one hell of a job.

The Ninja 150R has a 2 stroke (hence got a design from the 80's), 150 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. Which belts out around a crazy 30 horses and weighs a puny 125 Kgs..!!

I would cancel everything and go for this mad bike if India is lucky enough to get it in the first place..!!

The bike in the start of the thread and the one on the link posted by payeng are different. I feel the pics of the bike in the start of the thread are just a poor mod job. Also, in the side pic, did anyone notice K-Bajaj on the engine casing? Or is it just me

Seems silencer is the same as the one shown on the link below. 2 strokes normally has small silencer with a bulge. Both the bikes has this bulge.

              Most details are similar.

I think there is a genuine Ninja 150RR with facelift.

Not sure if it is a Kawasaki product except for the name (K Bajaj) on engine. Looks like an imitation...custom made...The silencer, side indicators, position of the console...the silver frame is unusual...& it has a kick...

With a 2 stroke screamer like that.. I give a rats @$$ about the styling.
I deliberately meant the Seating Posture and Pricing, customized for India. Like the difference between an R125 and R15.

150cc, 30bhp, 2 stroker........where are our senses guys? Who can expect such motorcycle to be launched in India? Why would the authorities overlook the smoke and shrieking noise from the exhaust. So stop dreaming and get practical.

The ugliest looking bike I have seen in recent times.
I cannot believe that Kawasaki will launch such an UGLY looking bike, in ANY market. It is definitely a mod-job gone bad.

Lucky!? Last I knew, 2-strokes were banned in India (from further sale & production)

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

I'd request you to update your records. 2 stroke machines are not banned in India, they are still being sold. LML NV does come with the same old 150cc 2 stroke 8.5bhp engine, a performance scooter in the days when it was launched.

That's exactly why I mentioned "Lucky".

I belong to the generation which has seen/ridden the likes of mad 2 strokers like the Yamaha RD350, RX100 Kawasaki RTZ & Suzuki Shogun.. Those bikes (in it's mint condition) will make your hair stand on it's end..!!

By the way: 2 strokes aren't BANNED in India. The puny Mahindra (Kinetic) Kine and TVS Scooty Teenz both of which have 2 stroke engines are still in production (albeit with negligible sales).

It's just that the manufacturer has to conform to the pollution norms, which is rather difficult to adhere to by a 2 stroke engine without sacrificing/compromising on its performance.

Also 2 strokers are inherently less fuel efficient. How does 20-25 kms for 1 litre of petrol (currently Rs. 70-73) sound?
