My personal reason/excuse would be that i'm more inclined towards Ducati than MV ...
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

i agree to the point mentioned by you above, i was only wondering - in doing so- whether- ducati has screwed the handling of bike along with lesser feedback.
Like I said before, road and GP bikes are a world apart. I don't think Ducati's road bikes have handling problems, otherwise journalists would've been shouting this all over.

About the MotoGP bikes' stiffness, I think its more of a secret than an open information. Don't know about R1.

But I can assure you that Desmosedici RR has one of the highest stiffness among the litre class road bikes, because I read an article on it, 1-2 years back. These Japs might not come close its stiffness after all, maybe, only maybe RSV does.

@ MJ: I have specified the points deciding stiffness of a frame in my last post's first line.

one more thing, suppose engine as a component has a rigidity= X
and aluminium chasis has a rigidity of = Y

so if we use engine as a stressed member of frame, the central part of the bike has a rigidity = X

and if we use engine mounted on aluminium chasis then the combined rigidity of central part of bike / frame = X+Y

            is this wrong?
That involves some serious Finite Element Analysis, if I am correct. (Being a student, would definitely love it if I get a career in this field )
