this is whats puzzling me for sometime now...i am trying to figure out how pulsar is gonna look from front and also the side profile which i am mainly interested in ...and i even went to the crazy extent of making rough a rendering with MS paint after several hours of hard analysis...i know it sounds crazy but now i have made an almost complete rendering of RHS side profile of the new pulsar...

that could be a goatie housing pilot lamp like duke or fz.just a guess.

But why would bajaj launch a 200cc bike? Wouldn't that effect the sales of ktm duke?

I am assuming as a big bike with a 125cc ktm duke engine , a high reving bike
as
1. no rear disc brake ... so probably its 200cc or below

2. i dont think ktm is gonna desing a specific 200/180 /150 cc for bajaj ... if it made any engine it may also use up in its duke series ,or other bikes of ktm with that engine ...

3. I think Bajaj is offering a big bike (ktm duke 200)and a small one ( expectedly P125,IMO) well 200 cc a performance with less milage ..... and a 125 performance bike
with some more fuel economy . People with less budget , expecting more FE , and performance as well will prefer it if its price is in their pocket

so these thing make me move to a more on 125 cc bike ,expected with the kTm duke 125 PowerPlant....

as we all know the specs of duke 125 ,i.e
Max Power: 15 hp @ 9,500/rpm
Max Torque: 12 Nm @ 8.000/rpm
top speed 75 mph = 120 km/h, yes it will certainly change when it is in a new pulsar chassi and also weight changes over all changing top speed

IMO, probably it can out run all 150cc range bike except R15

just 4 days to go and we don't even have a clue about the specs/ cc/ number of bikes in the series... we don't even have a click of what is hiding beneath those ugly rags. our members are chasing the bikes for quite a long time and are doing their best to take closeups. kudos to their effort. Now these four days are like a lifetime for us enthusiasts.. let us live these days,speculating, sensibly..:-D btw, i fall down while riding my dads passion pro yesterday and my knee is injured that i can't fold my leg to place it on the footpegs. darn..X-(

If they are testing only two bikes in the real world then i would say its good. Becuase only when they subject same bike for prolonged periods we come to know the problems with the aging vehicle and reliabilty of the vehicle can be ascertained. This is not possible if the vehicles are withdrawn from testing say within 5k or 10k odo readings.

Manufactures claim that they tested their vehicles in total for say a million or two million kilometers with mulitple vehicles. But the vehicles reliability will be known only if each vehicle is subjected to 300 or 400k KM.

So i think its good for Bajaj and its would be customers and finally put to rest the rumors about reliability of Bajaj's vehicles.

the only option we have is just wait and watch. relax and disappear from this thread and reappear on 30th. . . . . . . . . .

think on dec 30 they wont launch new pulsars because they havn't given any teasers or anything, how could they launch such a huge product witout that....

hmm.. i suspect it wud be jst pulsars with current 135 cc like styling and may be slightly performance tuned engines... like the 135 cc one... nothing more to expect... specially considering the market in which they are competing with hero honda... not with japs .. :P... but again i wud love if i am dead wrong...
