      this has been speculated before..
      bringing 2 version with some differences in them...
      eg yamaha 150cc engines in r15,frazer,fz,all 150, but all different...r15 liquid cooled, others not...top speed different, gear boxes different

      same with bajaj and KTM...200cc but 1 air other oil cooled,gears sets diff,one carb and oe fi
      plz understand and no more of this speculating of 2 different versions plz

            Guys i dont think so that Bajaj will launch a bike above or around 200cc ,,because its near to impossible to compete with DUKE 200

            so why bajaj will launch a bike less powerful than what they already have

              We must never forget that it is bajaj who is making the Duke 200 engine.

              We must also not forget that Bajaj is already making a 150cc engine in 3 states of tune for Pulsar, Discover and Boxer.

              Why is the fact that Bajaj can tune the 200cc Duke mill in multiple ways so unfathomable? (they are already doing it BTW with the RE60 )
              Advice is a form of nostalgia.
              Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

                Making it an affordable sportsbike to the Mango Man and selling in large numbers is the Bajaj strategy.
                Why do you think the 150,180 and 220 exists? They are catering to people of all budgets from 50k-1lac range with the "pulsar" tag.
                The Duke however will be above 1.2l
                People in this country still give you a weird expression everytime you say u spent 1.2+ for ur bike.
                Especially since the Nano comes at 1.8! I always get to hear it from the petrol pumpwaalas.

                  The frame that we are talking here is called Perimeter frame and one can see it in the likes of R1, CBR1000R, GSX-R1000. Yamaha had the same frame which they call as "Delta Box" frame

                      having read and discussed almost everything about upcoming pulsars, i just wanna know -
                      • when will the top of the line pulsar be launched, be it a 220 or 250 CC ?
                      • what will be its price?
                      • most important, why will bajaj use an engine which has "KTM Racing" engraved on it, use in a pulsar. they can even use the same engine without KTM badging.

                        It might be present only on the test models, and might have bajaj on the production version.....

                          Guess it will be either Pulsar or DTS-i on the engine as Bajaj is trying to develop Pulsar as a brand.

                              Ofcourse it can. Its just a crankcase.
                              Doesnt Hero Moto have the embossing changed on the new bikes which do not have the words Honda on it!

                                If Fiat engines can be sold under tata and maruti cars saying its a tata or maruti engine and not fiat, though originally its Fiat engine, then why cant KTM also be used in same way by bajaj
