It is based on P135, right? Then more chances for a mo0re conventional diamond tube frame(also looking the pics), i think

Allow me correct you here, its not "Diamond Tube". Its Diamond frame or Downtube frame not Diamond Tube frame.

"Diamond" refers to the shape that the steel tubes consisting of the "Spine (top tube)+Downtube+Cradle (if the engine is a stressed unit) takes. Simplest example of a "Diamond" frame is a bicycle frame.

A Bicycle frame / Diamond Frame:

Okey, what i meant was the frame that is currently in P135s' & unicorns & Fzs' (stressed ones) not the one in P220s & H passions(ain't it downtube or something else?)

diamond & downtube frames are the same?

Ok I get it.. but you mentioned Diamond Tube. Also the tubes that you meant are actually called "Cradle" not "Downtubes".

"Downtube" connect the steering head with the engine. It can be single downtube (like on FZ's, P135) or Double downtube (like on Pulsar 150/180/220, Passion/Splendor). The "Cradle" nestles the engine and when the engine is designed as a stressed member, the cradle is not present.

Examples of variations of the Diamond Frame:

          >> Double Downtube + Cradle : Pulsar 150/180/220, Apache RTR 160/180, Splendor/Passion
          >> Double Downtube + Engine as stressed member: CB Twister

          >> Single Downtube + Cradle : Discover 100/125/150
          >> Single Downtube + Engine as stressed member: FZ/Fazer, Karizma R/ZMR, P135

i thought they are commonly differentiated by the terms 'diamond' & 'downtube' respectively.
            thanks for the detailed info

So, may be bajaj introducing push button start or something similar to key less entry like in cars...and also this may be a reason they keep saying that new pulsar will have a features that does not exists on existing bikes...

push button start is already present, and you can't have keyless entry in bikes coz there are no doors, it can be a security device like engine immobilizer or something fancy like remote start stop like aftermarket ones available.

                  • as it is confirmed that the new pulsar has got a 200 cc heart.i wonder what is gonna happen to the 150 and 180 twins?are they gonna co-exist with the new 200 or are they gonna get new upgrades[those speedlines were merely an upgrade]
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

with those fancy additional features and fi system i guess the price is gonna shoot up close to 1 lac range.

The pulsars i followed were having blue colored dail in the middle.

I dont remember the color but it was a digital meter with a very eye catchy design... And it was bordered with a goldenish-grey hue.
