    That statement was nice!
However a freereving 135 (2012) must be enough to keep ahead of current p 150, and will sound like ripping(yeah, sweet sound for a 135/125)

agreed, but if you have a higher CC bike, a more powerful bike then to maintain your "comfortable speed" --you will use the power to pull away comfortably on a straight patch and slow down to safe speeds in traffic i.e. you will not take too many risks. BUT if you are zip zapping through highway traffic dangerously taking too many risks and are not slowing down in congested traffic conditions and sometimes your riding posture is like slightly "tucked in" i.e. bent forward- then it MAY mean that you are riding your bike to 90-95% of its potential and because you know the fact that their is very little reserve performance capacity left, so you have to take risks. it may mean that you are ripping.

and above all its only my guess, so i may be wrong, because my own bike was howling too loud so i can't hear his bike's sound properly.

      • And are the test mules tuned the same way as the regular bikes?

Agree, Bajaj already makes RE branded 3 wheelers (Auto rickshaws) and this "4 wheeler" is named as RE60. Ring any bells..??

Coming back to the New Pulsars.. are they air cooled or liquid cooled..??

            • How would they place this in the market?
P135 will stay AFAIK and retails at around 67-70K and Duke 200 will be released with price less than 1.5 lakh.
So,will Bajaj revert back to the "Pulsar Twins"(only the 150 and 180)?,priced anywhere from 90 -1.2 lakh rupees(?)

I Can!! From images posted on page 52.

                No cooling fins.
                Coolant plumbing clearly visible.

A big radiator grill visible exactly behind the front forks.

                Other observations:
The footpegs now are completely metallic. No rubber required to mask engine vibes on the footpegs like current gen.
The main stand sits higher than the lowest point of the exhaust. Very hard to scrape while cornering/leaning.

@Prince Will it be safe to assume that the bike you were chasing down was a much better handler than your P150UG2? Thats probably the reason why he confidently/effortlessly zip-zap-zoomed through NH4 traffic where you though it to be too risky to try and catch up. Considering you people were going uphill at the time, if it is indeed a smaller capacity motor at work, it has hell lot of torque high up in the rev range so that it could pull away even at 100+ speeds.
Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I remember from some previous spy pics posted in this forum that the engine head does not have cooling air-fins and if that's the case, the engine has to a proper liquid cooled engine, so I'm expecting more performance from and more price tag for it

                  • Just saw an interview with Rajiv Bajaj on CNBC.He happened to say.

1)New KTM bike will be launched on 24th of January.
2)New pulsar will be launched after that but did not specify any exact date.
He also said that RE60 four wheeler will be launched on May and that the new pulsar will be launched before that.
3)He also said that there is a third bike that is also going to be launched this year.No other specifics about that bike was mentioned except that it is a completely new bike.

When he was asked about some stock related question he said that all the three bikes would be launched early this year so he expects the sales to be good this time next year.

                    • Bajaj is in no hurry this time and is giving proper testing to new bikes before they hit the Showrooms.....So few months more to go for Upgraded Pulsars

So, apart from Tail light and Pilot lamps one more thing is continuing in the coming pulsar.

I think that the RVM's are also from the current lot.

Thanks guys. This also means that the new Pulsar will be far refined and NVH levels should be at par with the Japanese competition..if not better.

Yeah...it's also kinda same. But longer tank shrouders. Wider back seat portion. i.e, part under pillion seat..!
