i believe rear discs will come in as at least an option....that is what i believe. If reports from motorbeam are to be believed then we can safely say that the new pulsars will have rear discs (at least as an option).they report that bajaj is now testing at night and without even camouflage also taking advantage of the current situation. (the auto expo) as people will be more busy noticing other expo related stuff. It is given that one avid reader of motorbeam has recently spotted this and according to the bikes on test seem to have a rear disk brakes unlike the other earlier mules and also say it has twin beam frame. He also is saying there was 2 bikes and the other one was a next generation discover. How much truth and how much hoax ? only god will know?(no offence to motorbeam or any one else for that matter) Only thing i gotta say is we will have to be patient and hope for the best And according to motorbeam reports, KTM D200 will be launched on jan 24th 2012.

      • as far as i know new generation discover launch is in the pipeline.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
        #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

          • Some points from Rajiv Bajaj's interview with Siddharth patankar on NDTV a few minutes ago

Duke 200 will be launched on 24th Jan
And KTM's Stefan will be there
They are already working on Duke 350 to be released in 2013

From 2012 onwards, Bajaj will release sports bike in a gap of 8-12months from Kawasaki, KTM, Bajaj itself and is looking for other international partners to use Bajaj as platform

Kawasaki will expand its portfolio further with new releases every 8 months or so and is planning to build/assemble all their future bikes with Bajaj for to maintain a significantly low price rate

edit: HE also said "All Dukes look the same, Its just like how All Harleys sound the same"

I can give a further update on this as well.I had seen an interview with Rajiv Bajaj on cnbc on the 4th.He mentioned that there is a third bike other than the pulsar and the KTM going to be launched which is completely new.Nothing else was said about this bike.So that MIGHT be the new Discover.Pulsar is set to be launched before/on May.KTM on 24th of this month.

that, if and when happens, will really mark the golden era for indian biking scenario!

but, getting newer, bigger, better products is one thing, keep them well maintained is a different game here!

So it might be true that they are doing some trial and error checks, trying different combinations..

Advice is a form of nostalgia.
Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

I am disappointed by the big gap in rear wheel and tailpiece. Tells us about the off-road genes from KTM. A tall streetbike.
