Bajaj could have been a bit more creative. But then, no one expected that. It will be interesting to see the penetration of this bike the market.

This discover also gets a ''disc-cover'', but with such a tiny disc.

btw my first impressions about the multicolor paint job are great! Very innovative, and does not look like a roadside paintjob at all...!

As expected nothing but engine size is changed. They want to take full advantage of parts sharing, even the paint scheme!! I was hoping for a black & white theme/ navy blue & white on Discover.. would look great I think!

Bajaj will continue to do so...if bajaj stop doing this, the sales will drop rapidly...

It was like Discover 125 first.. and then 112.. then 112 gone.. later 125 replaced by 135.. then came in 100 cc.. 135 was kicked out as soon as P135LS came in(also xcd125/135 was kicked out). Then they got Disco 150 on board.. and now Disco 125 is back again to fill the gap between Disco 100 and 150, and is direct competition to Shine/Sling shot/Super splendor/Glamour/YBR125.. If my guess is right.. Bajaj will slowly increase Disco 150's price by another couple of thousand rupees to avoid cannibalization between Discover models.

I think it was there till Disco 100 was introduced.. even co-existed for a while until Disco 100 took off really well. Then it was given silent burial.. but XCD135 was much more sudden in exit.. in came P135LS.. next week Bajaj said no more XCD135.. another month later they said we are going to stop Kristal.. the only scooter from Bajaj at that point of time.. and guess what this is all within 6 months Rajiv Bajaj saying we want to be a good number 2 bike maker on the world stage by volumes!! first of course is Honda.. making 9 million units per annum (including HH sales).

2011 Bajaj Discover 125 DTSi Launched

Bajaj Auto has launched a new variant of the Discover motorcyle in the country. The 2-wheeler maker has now launched the 2011 Discover 125 DTSi yet again. The company had initially launched the Discover brand with a 125cc engine but later had discontinued it. Confusion is at full swing at the Pune based automakers mind which claims the Discover 125 to deliver a mileage of 82.4kmpl. Powered by a 125cc, 2-valve, air-cooled SOHC, 4-stroke DTSi motor, the Discover 125 had a top speed of 100kmph with power of 11bhp and torque of 10.8Nm.

The 2011 Bajaj Discover 125 DTSi features NITROX gas charged suspension, tripmeter, electric start and disc brakes (optional). The Discover 125 looks the same as all other Discover bikes and features a rather small tank of 8 liters with 1.5 liters being attributed to reserve. Priced at Rs. 45,500/- for the Drum brake variant and Rs. 48,000/- for the Disc brake variant (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi), the Discover 125 will help Bajaj reach its sales objectives for the Discover brand.
