Lovely bike. Is that a carbon fibre body? and the discs are large and mounted almost on the edge of the rim. Will be good if they advertise this association for brand building exercise in India as well.Originally posted by Satyamzma View PostImperfect human knowledge may be a bumpy, pot-holed street but its the only road to wisdom worth taking . . .

I think they have become so dependent on others that they will never be able to stand up on their own 2 feet I guess, and that is why I respect Bajaj so much, their bikes were never the best but they are what they are today coz of their own hard work.

Bajaj walking on their own Feet??? Common man - Everyone knows what engines they use in their Bikes all the Bajaj bikes run in Kawa Engines and the NS is running in KTM Engine.
Bajaj engineers are Really talented in adding more sparkplugs in the existing engines...
All the Indian manufacturers were dependent on Foreign manufacturers only for what they are now
Bajaj - Kawasaki
TVS - Suzuki
Hero - Honda

Lets not start another keyboard war. Every manufacturers does what they think will serve their interest best. Its a time to rejoice that Hero Moto is working with EBR. Bajaj with KTM. Honda & Yamaha with ...errr..mmm Honda and Yamaha. TVS should be doing something apart from airing 'frightening' Ads.
Suzuki is hibernating for too long. So was Hero. But they seems to be at least doing something about it, thats good news. A collaboration with EBR, HMC may be looking at motorcycle other than another commuter. Thats assumption, but looking at EBR portfolio, there's encouraging signs.

DTSI's are not Kawa Engines, and as far as KTM is concerned Bajaj is a 40%+ partner in the Company, I don't remember Hero taking such major stacks in Honda or EBROriginally posted by Thunder View PostWhat was that???

Also check the K200's history, a lot of the bikes R&D was done here in India at Bajaj plants and not in Austria.
Atleast Bajaj and TVS have their own R&D unots, Hero only a GD Unit I guess.Last edited by mansuryayas; 08-20-2012, 01:11 PM.

Reliable sources at Hero have it that Hero has taken a liquid cooled 250cc mill from Eric Buell and are developing a bike around it. Given that a prototype is ready and on road for testing, I see final product in market by 2014, which is when Honda partnership ends. Also, they are getting 100cc motor from AVL, Austria. I guess this would be scaled for 150cc duties as well!!
