that's strange.. as far as i know, the difference between the on road price of two wheelers in Delhi and Pune is only around 2000-3000Rs. which is contradictory to what the two dealers who quoted 2.2L in Delhi told me. Well the staff that manages the stalls at corporate locations generally don't know much about the product. The dealer would always have information that's more reliable.
Anyways, 2.5L is my threshold, I can't go beyond that anyways...hopefully I don't have to compromise as far as the price is concerned.

^^ Did they have the D390 on display? IMO 2.5L is a killer pricing...will be a runaway hit among the naked bike fans!

KTM have kept a stall at our office today and as per them, D390 will be priced around 2.5L OTR Pune and will be launched in June

The 200NS was a more apt example in the current case because you have no such choice. All 200NSs come with Eurogrips.Originally posted by riot View Post220F/S and 180 came with both. Some lots had Eurogrips and some had MRFs.

So, its finally close, huh? I will wait for sometime before jumping in the list. First, the Pulsar needs to be taken to Bengaluru and sorted out...
As for the tyres, all we need is good grip. I believe that even if it comes from MRF, we should be happy enough. Although yes, MRF's are not in league of Metzelers which are shod on premium bikes like BMW S1000RR. Still, MRF's rear tyre of size 150/60x17 belonging to the Duke, costs around Rs. 2400 in Ajmer. That's it.
Metzeler will probably cost some times more. This will increase the base cost of the vehicle too, even if we expect that later on owners will get cheaper alternatives.
But either ways, 2.2L is a good pricing for Duke 390. And ABS should protect us, even if it comes with MRFs.
PS: Be thankful that they won't come with Eurogrips, like P220 did.

Ok got another confirmation that the model has standard ABS as told by another dealer. He gave me a price for my ninja which is ok with me so I might be changing it soon. Expected delivery time is around late April or mid may latest. So they said we already have 3 bookings I would be the 4th one. But I haven't booked it yet. Would be next weekend most likely.

Bangalore KTM showrooms was not certain on when bookings would start, but they said that deliveries will begin only towards end May/early June. Expected BLR OTR price is 2.4L. Which is in line with the above mentioned Delhi price of 2.2L.

So I went to the showroom yesterday following their call to me on Wednesday. Asked about when is the booking starting. They said bookings will start next month and deliveries in may. About the version, they said its only one version and we don't have the info if its with or without ABS. Price quoted was 2.2L. When asked about any variation in price. They said we assure u that we give it to you for 2.2L. I did say that I won't take it if its anything more.so I came back with handful of information as the dealer who would evaluate my ninja was out of the city. Or else I was ready to give away my bike and book the KTM next weekend if the value suited me.Last edited by R-series; 03-17-2013, 09:22 AM.
